Re: Iggy Azalea
Kesha is actually a pretty talented pop music songwriter. If people listene to more than just "Tik Tok" they'd find some surprising depth.
As far as Iggy Azalea is concerned...some of her songs have that "so bad it's catchy" feel to them, but she isn't someone I'd actually seek out and listen to. For what it's worth though, it seemed like she worked pretty hard to get where she's at as far as releasing mixtapes, seeking out opportunities, etc. Doesn't mean she's good though; she's a mediocre rapper at best and at worst she's capitalizing on what's arguably a gimmick.

Michael Madsen thanks her for giving him employment in this Kill Bill knockoff.

I didn't realize until reading this thread that Iggy Azalea isn't the Gwen Stefani rip-off in that song. Interesting.
Well not really, i still don't care.

Re: Iggy Azalea
My wife is dragging me to see her tomorrow. I'm not thrilled, but she thinks I have to go because she went to Weird Al with me last summer. Whatever, I think she's getting the better end of this deal, as I refuse to believe anyone can go to a Weird Al show and not have a good time. I've been reading reviews of Iggy's shows, and most of them say she comes on really late and only performs for 45 minutes, so yeah, I have that to look forward to.
Also Iggy must not be as popular as the hype would have you believe, as it's not a huge venue, and tickets are still available from the box office the day before the show.

Re: Iggy Azalea
Yeah, I guess. On time and 45 minutes would be better though
Having seen the show, reviews were pretty much on the money, 45-50 minutes, no encore. She leaves the stage with barely a thank you and the house lights come up immediately. Also, vocals were pretty hard to make out any time they weren't pre-recorded (which was quite a bit). It all felt very pre-produced, no improvisation, no interaction with the audience, no even acknowledging where she is for the cheap pop. There weren't even any costume changes or anything special about the production to distract you from the fact that it isn't very good. Just her, 4 backup dancers and a DJ the entire show. Her fans still seemed to eat it up, even though I did hear a lot of comments about the length of the show on the way out.

I think you came out ahead on this deal. Weird Al puts on a great show.

Yeah, Weird Al is hard to beat, he puts on such a great show. The word "professional" does not even begin do describe how Al operates ... and makes it fun at the same time. I always appreciate bands like that.

I'll echo the others and say you made out ahead. "Weird Al" puts on the best shows.

And by my logic, my wife made out ahead, it terms of what she had to sit thru for me versus what I had to sit thru for her.

I watched this with the sound off, so I can't comment on the song. I'm going to go out on a limb and say it sucks.

I am more than happy to tolerate that song because that video is the hottest thing I've seen in years. Holy shit!
All kinds of awesome.

That video works great on mute, or with club music playing, still haven't heard the actual song but it is a damn beauty of a video.
