Anybody seen him on previous outings? I'm going to his Boston show this November, where they're playing Low Life and Brotherhood, and he's playing Joy Division songs as his own opening act. Yeah, it's not Joy Division, and it's not New Order, but dang, this sounds pretty good to me:

I saw him last year after seeing New Order about 2 months before. It was a good show. Well both were. But Hooks show was just full of energy even after being in the opening act. I didn't even know that was happening I was surprised when I walked in and they were on maybe the second or third song. It was of course smaller, but that's a plus. He even walked right through the bar before going on. I'll go again this year if I can. I rarely see bands twice.

I saw them when they were playing Joy Division's Closer in it's entirety and they were great.

I'll be seeing them this November when he performs "Low Life" and "Brotherhood" in full. Looks like he will also be doing a special opening set of Joy Division material. Very excited to see what sort of guest stars may appear for the Los Angeles show.
