thinking about getting tickets to the sting/paul simon concert there.

anyone have any recommendations for sections? are the floor seats any good or will my view be obstructed? I want to be close but then again, I dont want a bad view. ive never had floor seats before so I dont really know what it would be like.

They just went thru a remodel, so unless someone went to the recent Eagles shows, I doubt anyone could give you a good layout review.

I went to the set of Prince shows there 2 years ago and even I couldn't give you a good idea because of how his stage was set up. Floor seats are really determined by how the stage is set up.

The last show I went to at The Forum was Rammstein in 2011 and we were on level from the floor and it was great.

Ideally, you want to be close enough for the performer to spit water from their mouth to yours.

Spent my teens and early 20s there. The Who (9th row), Styx, Yes, The Cars, Springsteen, Kansas, Cheap Trick, Yes, Genesis etc... REM '89 show was my last.

Apparently it's been refurbed.

I was on the floor for Prince. His stage setup was such that it was a bit awkward. Still, if you can get floor seats, might as well.

I picked up the phone, dropped it on the floor, and "Ah! Ah!" was all I heard.

Last time I went was for Van Halens Friends and Family show for their last tour, and we got to pick our seats (all general admission). I got seats just off the stage on the right side, but a little ways back. They were great.

So a lot of great concerts there in the 70's and 80's (Led Zep, Cheap Trick, Be Bop Deluxe, Rush, etc.). Last one was McCartney in '89 I believe. So if it's been remodeled, I guess I can't help you then.
