Re: The 'Ghost B.C.' Thread
I really like about half the album so far, but the rest will need to grow on me a bit. I'm glad I now have a digital copy to play in the car, I almost bought the CD in addition to the vinyl. Man they have changed quite a bit since their debut, I'm sure some really old school fans are grumbling about this one.

I went for a job over lunch and listened to the album again. It is growing on me. Also, the fact that Miasma has a sax solo (and a damn good one), it pretty much deserves the price of admission right there.

Pleasant surprise, I just received an email from Amazon, and the digital version of Prequelle has now been added to my music library, there must have been a delay for the AutoRip to kick in. One bad thing, the two bonus songs from the 7" aren't included. Oh well, if I have to find those two by other means, so be it.

Re: The 'Ghost B.C.' Thread
Awesome news, I was hoping/expecting a more extensive NA tour in the fall/winter. They're coming to Toronto in December, I'm going to try and grab good seats when they go on sale later this week. This will be my third Ghost "ceremony".

I just picked up a couple good tickets for their Toronto show in a Spotify presale. Can't wait to see them again!

Which show are you going to? I think sales for most shows are starting this week, regular sales for the Toronto show begin tomorrow, but I got an email from Spotify this morning for a presale and jumped on it.

Re: The 'Ghost B.C.' Thread
Picked up two tix for December in Baltimore. My girlfriend isn't much into (as she calls it) "devil music." I've tried to explain its their act and she's enjoyed a few of their tracks. Wish me luck. I might be single for Christmas . lol

Just tell her that it's their shtick, it's more like horror movie "evil". Tobius Forge is as much a satanist as your girlfriend is. He is a big horror film fan which is why he uses this kind of subject matter for their music and show.

So everyone thought Carpenter Brut would do something akin to what they normally do (Dark Synth) but they knocked it out of the park with this heavy trance cover that's the complete opposite of what they do:

Glad they actually made Dance Macabre the new single and gave it a new video. I always hated that lame Instagram "preview" video they posted when the new album first came out. This is better.

Former Ghouls Lose Ghost Lawsuit
https://metalreport.co.uk/breaking-f...8CjrTp_2FtUghw
A cautionary tale for hired guns thinking they are owed equity or ownership in the band. They can say it was about lost wages, but we know, they wanted a bigger stake in the band as they were getting more famous. Nope. This was always Tobias' project from the very beginning.
A double whammy of good news for Ghost today – first their Dance Macabre video is released and now the case brought by four ex members of the band has been dismissed.
The former Ghouls will not only have to cover their own legal bill but that of Cardinal Copia‘s lawyer too. However, the court ruled that the 2 million SEK (£170,000/194,000 Euros/$224,000) that Copia’s lawyer charged was for work that was beyond reasonable and so the Ghouls will have to pay 1.3 million SEK (£111,000/126,000 Euros/$146,000) of that bill along with their own lawyer’s costs of 2.9 million SEK (£247,000/281,000 Euros/$324,000).
That leaves Copia to find 700,000 SEK (£60,000/68,000 Euros/$78,000) while the former Ghouls will need to pay 4.2 million SEK (£358,000/407,000 Euros/$470,000).
The former Ghouls were looking to have the band’s accounts opened as they felt that the man behind the Cardinal Copia character had hidden money from them and underpaid them for their time with the band. The Metal Report covered the trial extensively as it happened, the original reports can be found in the Exclusives section of the site.
The news is incredibly surprising as it seemed like the result would go in the favour of the Ghouls, but evidently the judges did not feel that the ex members were part of the band and had been hired musicians; thereby negating their need to see the accounts. The full 108 page judgment has already been released to the public.
The judgment’s conclusion was that
“Overall, the plaintiffs have not been able to demonstrate that agreements between them, or any of them, and [Cardinal Copia] have been concluded regarding a common purpose and obligation to act for this in the Ghost music group as a single company. The district court thus denies the whole of the case. “
Ann-Charlotte Söderlund Björk is quoted by NT Sweden as saying
“We are very pleased with the judgment. My client is very happy. This judgment is positive for the music industry. It would have been a disaster for the industry if the outcome had been different.“
She went on to say that the court was “stubborn” regarding her costs as the case had been “work intensive“.
The Metal Report reached out to two of the former Ghouls, one of whom says that they have no comment at this time. The Ghouls have until the 7th of November to appeal the decision.

Re: The 'Ghost B.C.' Thread
I went to the Forum show, too. My friend bought us both the VIP meet-and-greet with Cardinal Copia. It was alright. I don't care about meeting celebs but some of the VIP merch in the gift bag was neat.
Show was good, not great. I expected something much grander given the venue. It was more or less the same show I saw in Riverside earlier this year, with a couple pyros. Kinda disappointing since I thought the bigger the venues got the bigger the shows would, too.
Also, still no Elizabeth in the set? C'mon, guys...

Re: The 'Ghost B.C.' Thread
I usually don't check out current tour set lists so I'll be surprised but I gave into temptation and checked on it. Wow, a 26 song set in two acts, that's fantastic. Including "If You Have Ghosts" which I love but have never seen them play live, and an acoustic version of "Jigolo Har Meggido". I'm really stoked! This is a nice long show, no opening act, correct?
