Re: The 'Ghost B.C.' Thread

Just got back from their show in Toronto tonight. It was fantastic, nearly three hours with only a 15 minute intermission. And bam, it started right at 8 pm on the dot, I don't think I've even been to a rock concert with that kind of precision. Tobias was in great form and I was surprised to see the extra players, there were eight band members total. They played just about every song I wanted to hear, except perhaps for Ghulah/Zombie Queen, but I've seen them do that song at previous shows. Damn near a full house, great crowd. This is one band that I'll always go and see whenever they play nearby.

Re: The 'Ghost B.C.' Thread

Hey, question for vinyl guys, what pressings of Ghost's older albums are considered the best quality? So far I only have Popestar and Prequelle on vinyl, they are the US Loma Vista pressings that seem to get a bad reputation, with complaints like warping, excess surface noise, etc. Mine are pretty quiet, but do have some slight warp, and annoying things like split inner sleeves, etc. I'm guessing that some of the European pressings might be better quality, anyone have any favorites?

$15 is way too high for those ReAction figures.

A set of four Iron Maiden Eddie figures they put out last year was $60.

Re: The 'Ghost B.C.' Thread

When Super 7 was making the ReAction figures in cooperation with Funko, they could have a lower price point (usually under $10) because Funko is a big toy company and can manufacture on a large scale, get better rates with manufacturers, etc. Now that Super 7 is back to handling these themselves without Funko, it's a bit different as they are a small, boutique style company. It's all about economies of scale.

Here's just the audio for the 2 new ones, getting a little light for my tastes:

Re: The 'Ghost B.C.' Thread

Man, they are definitely not as heavy as they used to be, but I could see the progression happening over the years. Still these are cool songs, especially the first one. Unfortunately I didn't find out about the limited edition single until it was too late and it's now sold out on their website.

I don't know. Seemed a little too Richard Cheese, lounge singerish.

Re: The 'Ghost B.C.' Thread

Yeah, I thought that rendition was pretty weak.

It does seem like it could be a good song for the full Ghost band to cover though.

I liked it, Papa often has a lounge singer quality to his performance so I'm fine with his rendition here, the style is firmly in his wheelhouse. Of course, I've really missed hearing any new material from him, so that may be coloring my opinion. I've heard of the Hellacopters, but have never heard any of their stuff. I wonder how they all hooked up for this.

Lounge singer is appropriate considering his new visage. "Las Vegas Papa," I'll be here all week, try the veal!

Sounds awesome. It reminds me of Zenith and Kiss the Goat mish-mash.

Re: The 'Ghost B.C.' Thread

The new song hasn't hooked me much yet, seems rather 'flat'. But that may change with a few more listens.

Thanks for posting the album news, I hadn't heard a date yet.
