Hudson's the lone survivor of the original band (The Band) and he just turned 86.

I really knew him from his solo work. I probably didn't know anything about "The Band" until much later. His first two solo albums were really good. I've also got the third but don't remember getting into that one as much. Probably time to listen to those again.

He composed the score to Scorsese's upcoming Killers of the Flower Moon.
Which is cool as he was part Native American.

The "American" in "Native American" denotes the continent, not the country.

He wasn't too bad of an actor either. He was pretty good in "Carny" with Jodie Foster.

I know it was not his most well known work but I was watching Jimmy Hollywood that Pesci and Christian Slater flick and he did the score
