System is finally set up after wire stripping and banana plugging. But the speaker stands I ordered suck. Anyone have recommendations?

I saw a whole rack of Vinyl records in Target today. They had a great selection of The Beatles, The Who, The Rolling Stones, etc. Good to see a comeback of records!

What sucks about the Speaker Stands? If they arent heavy enough, some can be filled with sand or shot.

The parts that held the speakers had straight edges like a tray, which could be widened or tightened, and also wasn’t big enough for my speakers, which have curved edges. I ended up returning those and getting the official stands for the speakers and they work much better.

If anyone needs speakers, Andrew Jones designed ELAC speakers are marked down for. Black Friday at Amazon, Crutchfield etc. Don’t have any, but they get good reviews. I decided to order two of the Debut 2.0 subwoofers that are half off. Not the deepest bass ever, but the small ones will fit well in my space. Curious to see what they bring to music. You have to set them up with a Bluetooth and an app.

Thanks for the heads-up. I have a pair of the Debut F5 floorstanding speakers. Been looking to go a bit bigger to the 6.5" (F5's are 5.5"). Might jump on a pair of the new F6's.

As much as Mondo sometimes frustrates me with how they handle releases of their prints they put out some cool vinyl soundtracks I’d never expect. Going to have to get this.

They’re also putting out the soundtrack to The Big Lebowski as well as two versions of Elfman’s score for Burton’s Batman (a single LP and a double LP which is the extended soundtrack).

new $99 Target branded turntable. Actually looks pretty solid. Defeatable phono pre, dustcover, counterweight, bluetooth if you want it. I ordered one to play with.

I should be getting the Batman score on the 26th according to usps tracking. I opted for the purple and black vinyl. Didn’t realize there were single and double versions though, and not sure which one I ordered.
