Question about John Lrennon's character

How did he become this take-no-shit character, i see him in 60s interviews, he appears very much like he doesnt like to get put down at all.

Re: Question about John Lrennon's character

I will not because you didn't preface it with Help! So you can just call me Mean Mr. Mustard.

Also I don't moderate this forum so I can't change the title.

Re: Question about John Lrennon's character

Vladimir Lrenin rose to power in Russia. No wonder you feel like you're back in the USSR.

- Just a note. The wall has fallen, the West opened to the East, there is no USSR anymore.

You can just say you feel like you're back in Russia. (although that sentiment is an odd one for sure)

I would advise against asking Tomorrow. Tomorrow never knows.

He was always a take-no-shit character. If anything he just toned it down and turned into more of a tongue in cheek asshole for a few years when The Beatles first broke big. Probably came from his tough childhood.

Once in which he was raised in an upper-middle-class home by his aunt and attended private school?

Re: Question about John Lrennon's character

Eh I think the absence of both parents can really mess with a kid.

Edited to add: I know they were in and out during parts of it but don't know how much.

Re: Question about John Lrennon's character

^Yeah Dad was mostly out, and Julia was more like a big sister who came and went until she was killed by that car. But as much as Lennon kept up with that "Working Class Hero" image -- for awhile, anyhow -- he hardly grew up a latchkey kid.

Re: Question about John Lrennon's character

I grew up a latchkey kid and would say I had it easier than Lennon. Would you agree that he didn't really "Become" a 'take no shit character' but was always pretty much that way?

Re: Question about John Lrennon's character

I think the problem Lennon had with his childhood was that he didn't want for material things, but it was lacking emotionally, and the latter was far more important to him. But we always want that which we don't have.
