Local Natives: Hummingbird, which is lite indie electonic pop. Pretty good album, but very non-rocking and a bit fey.
FIDLAR: S/T debut, which is very traditional skate punk. No points for originality or cleverness, but it does the trick. Waaves does this trick better, though.
Parquet Courts: Light up Gold, which is heavily Strokes/VU-inspired smart/stupid droney New York garage rock. A hipster cliche, but the songs are well written and clever. I really like this one.
The Joy Formidable: Wolf's Law which is another great album of slightly retro, Swervedriver/Super Furry Animals-inspired epic guitar rock. I think this is just as good as their last album, which I loved.
