I'd say, off the top of my head:
Menomena - Moms
Godspeed You! Black Emperor - 'Allelujah! Don't Bend! Ascend!
Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti - Mature Themes
Scott Walker - Bish Bosch
Leonard Cohen - Old Ideas
Metric - Synthetica

I know there's a ton I'm forgetting, but those stood out to me this year.
Yeah Born To Die. Really. Tough shit, deal with it.

Who the fuck are you to be commenting about my list. Oh yes it's our board moderator, showing another great example of moderating by shitting over another person's choices. Fuck you.

All of your list is crap and yes you are Sorry.

Got to love this guy right here just opening his big fat yapper again. I also love how you didn't have the balls to directly quote me but put your little comment like I wouldn't respond to it or something.

Take your piece of shit music choices along with your piece of shit movie choices and shove them up your ass.

No. I don't take kindly to someone shitting on my list or anyone's list. If he'd done that to someone else's list I would have commented. Just make YOUR list and keep it moving. And don't call me Francis.

He may have a point but there's also a code of conduct around here that can easily put him on suspension.

C'mon, you don't think that was a bit of an overreaction? I use these threads as a way to discover stuff I missed, I don't particularly care if people don't like what I like. It certainly doesn't bother me if they say so.

ew. ouch... and to a moderator to boot [no pun intended] - wondering where there is going to go.

LOL code of conduct. That should apply to the moderator of all people. The code of conduct should be keep your opinions about other people's list to yourself. Another one should be commenting on whether someone should be suspended or not. Practice what you preach and you aren't doing it very well.

You still commenting on this. That's an overreaction.

Also just because it doesn't bother you doesn't mean it doesn't bother someone else. I get a kick out of people that think everyone should think like they think.

It's been going on for a while. I can't believe that this guy is even allowed to moderate. I've seen the smartass comments he's made to other people that if you or I made them we'd be banned for months. I get so tired of the double standard on this board. The guy is a class A jerk IMO and doesn't represent what a moderator should be.

Funny I never had a problem with Supermallet's comments. Then again I don't launch into an obscenity laden tirade because someone doesn't like half an album I like.

Yeah, I've never noticed a problem either. I always thought the point of a messageboard was to discuss, and give opinions on, the topic at hand, not get feelings hurt because someone doesn't agree. I hope I'm not overreacting.

I didn't say he was 100 percent right in everything he said and justified for going off like a bomb. I said he had a point, which I still think he does. Again, the thread isn't "Critique my list of the best albums of 2012." No good reason for the moderator of all people to say boo about his picks.

Who said his opinion was wrong?

Forgot about that Leonard Cohen album. That was solid.

The way it was written conveyed that to me, even before I saw bootsy's reply.

"Born To Die? Really? Half that album is crap, sorry."

He said half of only 1 of his 14 albums was crap. That's about what 6 or 7 percent. Not a reason to go into a rage.
