Re: The all things METALLICA thread!
We've been digging through the archives, gone to the original source material and re-mastered it to maximize the sound potential for 2015 without altering the original mixes in any way. Recorded with the first line-up of the band that appeared live as Metallica, No Life 'til Leather has never been commercially available until now. Look for expanded versions coming on CD, vinyl and a collector's set sometime this summer.
Tracklisting
Hit The Lights
The Mechanix
Motorbreath
Seek & Destroy
Metal Militia
Jump In The Fire
Phantom Lord
Recorded on July 6, 1982 at Chateau East Studio, Tustin, CA
James Hetfield – lead vocals, rhythm guitar
Lars Ulrich – drums
Dave Mustaine – lead guitar
Ron McGovney – bass

Re: The all things METALLICA thread!
I love Metallica (even Load, Reload and St. Anger) but there is a lot on there that I would never listen to. Especially if the live stuff is bad quality. I also doubt any remastering is going to make any of the albums sound better. I would however love No Life Till Leather on CD so I expect it to never be released.

Re: The all things METALLICA thread!
Count me down as another who'd like to see a vinyl for NLTL first. I'll get these new remastered vinyl editions but passing on the pricey box sets. I've got loads of live Metallica music coming out of my ass (I should probably see a proctologist), so the additional goodies don't entice me much.

We had such an amazing time playing in our hometown stadium the night before the Super Bowl that when asked we couldn’t say “no” to another chance to be a part of a very special weekend, the opening of the brand new U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, MN! On Saturday, August 20, 2016 we’ll be hitting the stage for the first ever rock show at the stadium as part of the opening weekend festivities featuring Luke Bryan the Friday before. Joining us that night are our friends Avenged Sevenfold and Volbeat for a proper kick-off to the new football season in a new home for the Vikings.
Tickets go on sale through Ticketmaster on Friday, March 25th at 10:00 AM CDT, but Fifth Members can pick up theirs in a special presale starting on Tuesday, March 22 at 8:00 AM CDT. Log in for more details on how to pick up your tickets early. Not a Fifth Member? Join now!

The remastered version of The Four Horsemen has been released. It sounds pretty good.

Oh man, those box sets look pretty, not sure if I want to pony up the cash for them though.
