Lots of 80s music being played by me:
The "So 80s" compilation series by Blank and Jones is awesome. Lots of great 12" versions of definitive 80s stuff. Check it out.
Ultravox: "Vienna" has taken up residence in Rdio. It's probably my favorite classic synth-pop album
A number of Sparks albums have resurfaced in my playlist. IMO, one of the more under-appreciated bands of the late seventies, early eighties... at least in the US.
The Way of the Samurai soundtrack has made a surprising resurgence
Listening to some old King Diamond, various albums.
The new White Arrows album is catchy afo-electro pop with really stupid lyrics, perfect for a Sunday morning.
The new Diiv album is yet another "indie-music-by-number" product of the Brooklyn dream pop assembly line but has a good first side (second side kind of blows).
El-P's C4C refuses to go away, still my favorite album I've heard this year.
I introduced my daughter to The Ramones' "Road to Ruin" yesterday, she was ambivalent. Still my favorite Ramones album.

Been getting Into vintage audio. Have a pioneer sa 8500 ii and pioneer sx 650.

Bought a music hall 5 turntable from a consignment store and put a new ortofon blue cartridge on it.

Listening to ice cube, polica , Johnny Cash live in austin, the klf, the ziggy stardust reissue.


Any recomendations?
