Been doing a lot of driving this summer, and with the heat, Modest Mouse's The Lonesome Crowded West has not left my cd player in about a month. I haven't been listening to much new music, but I did grab the new Liars album.

Its 45$+ at Amazon, but if you order from amazon.ca, it was 14.99 (plus 10$ or so international shipping).

So 25$ includes the 3 discs and the cassette and everything else.

Nice choice of the New American Orchestra version of Blade Runner; I think their version of Love Theme is awesome. Blade Runner Blues has more of a jazzy feel, which is true for all of their tracks, than the atmospheric rendition Vangalis made but it works in its own way.

pure unadulterated pop - it's actually quite infectious and utterly perky. some of the songs are actually better the originals (J.Lo's 'Dance Again'). The revised lyrics of 'Starships' is hysterical, instead of 'we're higher than a motherfucker' it's now 'We're Kidz Bop and we're taking over' - the album puts me in a good mood actually.
