I realize this is a bit of a shot in the dark, but yesterday I was in a store and I heard a song over the PA that I liked the sound of. Try as I might, I couldn't make out any of the lyrics (because of the overall crowd noise in the store), except for this line:

- don't go talking sense (or maybe it was "don't go making sense")

It had a very 80s vibe with quite a catchy hook. Anybody have any idea what I heard? Thanks!

Thanks for the guesses, but neither of those are it. I wish I had more details. The lead vocal was male, but there were heavy, ambient harmonies. And a strong keyboard hook. I wish I could find it...

Are the lyrics you posted just one line you remember, or part of the chorus (are they repeated)?

Is it "Dollars and Sense," by Radiohead?

It was the only line I could decipher out of the whole thing, and to the best of my knowledge, it was only sung once. The chorus part was completely unintelligible. (Due to the quietness of the PA system and noise in the store.)
