Who is the most represented artist/band in your music collection?
The most represented artist in mine (I went purely by the number of tracks I have of him) is Jay-Z. 229 tracks.
Kanye (200), Snoop (156) and Eminem (142) are next, and for bands, blink-182 with 103 tracks.
So what's your most represented artist?

Pink Floyd in a walk -- 21 albums, 222 tracks.
Next closest is PJ Harvey at 13 albums and 150 tracks.
However, if we include all of Kristin Hersh's work in Throwing Muses, 50 Foot Wave and as a solo artist, she wins with 24 albums and 253 tracks.

Very awesome man! Do you have a lot of their soundtrack work? I love Thief and Firestarter but wonder if Shy People is any good?
Have 40 or so piece of Cure music, all of the albums prior to their last two plus live work, vinyl exclusives and singles. Next would be Duran Duran at 20, with all albums and some vinyl picture discs and singles.

Prob Stones or Tom Waits, since I have all their songs and they have a rather large catalog. I have all the Beatles and Foo Fighters too, but I don't think they would add up to be a huge amount.

Don't know the exact number but I can safely say Pearl Jam is the most represented mainly due to the "official bootlegs" from their tours since they started releasing them in 2000.
Eric Clapton would probably be next if counting everything he was involved with (Cream, Derek and The Dominos, Blind Faith, Delaney and Bonnie).

Re: Who is the most represented artist/band in your music collection?
I've got over 100 Tori Amos CDs. I was a huge fan in the 90s and that number includes duplicate albums (like the original Boys For Pele and the revised version with Talula (The Tornado Mix) instead of the original version) and CD singles which I collected to get every b-side that she ever released. Also a small handful of bootleg recordings.
Next is Bob Dylan. I've got nearly 50 CDs by him. Most of his albums, and the official Bootleg Recordings.
Next is Siouxsie and the Banshees and They Might Be Giants with over 25 CDs each. Both collections include all albums plus a handful of CD singles, etc.
And as someone else mentioned, Kristen Hersh would also be a huge portion of my collection, with nearly everything I can find by her solo, with 50 Ft Wave and with Throwing Muses.

Re: Who is the most represented artist/band in your music collection?
I have basically every major release on CD by The Beatles including the remasters, Abbey Road on vinyl, and most of the original CDs minus With The Beatles, Beatles For Sale, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (I actually had it but gave it to someone after I got the remasters), and Yellow Submarine. I also am missing Anthology 1 & 3 and Live At The BBC. So they are probably most represented in my collection. In total I have 33 discs by them.
Pearl Jam rivals them pretty close though. I have all of their major CD releases (not counting all the live stuff), plus the Ten Super Deluxe set, and the Vs./Vitalogy Super Deluxe set. All together I have 22 releases by them.
The only other bands that come close are Foo Fighters (have all their releases) and Weezer (only thing I'm missing is the Deluxe Edition of The Blue Album).

Based on what I have in itunes
The Beatles with 477 tracks
The Fall with 356
Johnny Cash with 305
Talking Heads with 221
Also if I combine Velvet Underground with Lou Reed I have 229, otherwise David Bowie is next at 190.

Re: Who is the most represented artist/band in your music collection?
Beatles (surprise). 196 songs. I have 12,500 tunes in iTunes, but have no desire to include live/rare/bootleg material from my favorite bands. I'd rather my shuffle mode plays a wide variety of music than focus so much on one act.
