Eddie Vedder: New Album and DVD- May 31st

Looks like Eddie is releasing his second solo album soon. Ukulele Songs will arrive on May 31st as well as a concert film Water on the Road. I'm pretty excited as a Pearl Jam fan and am definitely going to pick this up. Seems like they're pulling out a lot of goods for their 20th anniversary with the re-releases of Vs./Vitalogy, this album, and possibly a new Pearl Jam album.

Ukulele Songs Album Tracklisting:

1. Can't Keep
2. Sleeping by Myself
3. Without You
4. More Than You Know
5. Goodbye
6. Broken Heart
7. Satellite
8. Longing to Belong
9. Hey Fahkah
10. You're True
11. Light Today
12. Sleepless Nights (featuring Glen Hansard)
13. Once in Awhile
14. Waving Palms
15. Tonight You Belong to Me (featuring Cat Power)
16. Dream a Little Dream

Water on the Road Live Concert DVD Tracklisting:

1. The Canyon
2. Sometimes
3. Trouble
4. Around the Bend
5. Girl From the North Country
6. Guaranteed
7. Setting Forth
8. Far Behind
9. No Ceiling
10. Rise
11. Golden State
12. Society
13. Forever Young
14. Ed Piano (Instrumental)
15. I’m Open
16. Man of the Hour
17. Driftin’
18. No More
19. You’re True
20. Ukulele Interlude (Instrumental)
21. Unthought Known
22. Arc
23. Hard Sun
24. The Canyon (reprise)

I love Ed's solo stuff cuz it's always on the mellow(acoustic) side which it what PJ do best imo.

Looking forward to this

Cool, I thought the Into the Wild Soundtrack was the best thing he had done in years.

I'm both a huge Pearl Jam fan and a pretty avid ukulele player. I'm all over this!

Tickets for his show are $75, at least here in Seattle. As much as I'd love to go I don't think I can fork over the cash for it...

I agree. Boston is $78. I'm a huge PJ fan, and liked the 'Into The Wild' soundtrack. But I'm still not ready to fork out a hundred bucks (after fees, parking, etc.) to see the show. Sorry Ed....

I bought a ticket to the Minneapolis show for July 2nd. Probably going solo but it should be worth seeing.

You can take me. I went to nab tickets for my wife and me to that show today the minute they went on sale to the general public and it was already sold out. I'd let my Ten Club membership lapse, too, so no pre-sale for me.

Re: Eddie Vedder: New Album and DVD- May 31st

I'm a member of the Ten Club and missed out on the pre-sale. My ticket is in the balcony but when I was at the Orpheum for the Conan O'Brien tour last year it seemed like most of the seats were decent. I hoped to get two tickets to bring a friend along but after a few times of trying to find tickets and not coming up with anything I figured if I wanted to go I'd just take the one ticket and enjoy for myself. If anything I could probably sell it online if I decide not to go.

Picked up Hartford tickets through 10c, though I was *really* hesitant with the $175/pair pricetag. I wouldn't have been all that broken up if I got shut out.

Re: Eddie Vedder: New Album and DVD- May 31st

Having seen him a few times solo on the 2008 tour, I'd say it's definitely worth going to. I'll be attending Chicago night 1 this time around (10c tickets). Sucks that they added shows and neither offered 10c tickets to the new dates, nor even bothered to alert fanclub members.

Yeah, 10c blows these days.

This comes out in a couple of weeks......has anybody heard the album yet?

I am really looking forward to it, especially the song with Vedder & Cat Power.

I am kind of am too now that it has leaked. I guess I'm a real dummy because I thought "Ukulele Songs" was just a name for the album.

I didn't realize that most if not all of it is him singing and playing the ukulele.

I'll give it a try, but i doubt i would pay money for this.

I'm a ukulele player and my favorite band is Pearl Jam. Consider me stoked.

Heh, that's what I always assumed it'd be. I don't download anymore, but still looking forward to it.

Re: Eddie Vedder: New Album and DVD- May 31st

People thought this wasn't going to be an album of ukulele songs?

I didn't know about his first solo effort until this thread. I've been listening to it like crazy over the past month. I can't wait for this one.

$7.99 on Amazon

$8.99 at Best Buy

Think I'll swing out to BB for the CD version.

If you haven't already gone, here's a coupon:

http://monkeywrenchrecords.com/eccoupon.html

It says $7.99 for the CD, but mine rang up at $6.99. May have glitched 'cause I bought the BD, too - not sure.

^Lucky! Up here in Canada, the CD itself is $14 and the blu is $20. That's a pretty huge difference - bought them anyhow.

I really like this album a lot. Nice and laid back listening, looking forward to seeing him in concert.
