Pogues - Original Album Series (Box)

Can anyone vouch for the sound quality of this set compared to other versions?

Good price, but it doesn't appear to have the bonus tracks. I can't comment on sound quality.

It would be nice if they released this on vinyl, too. But, I've still got my well-worn copies of Red Roses For Me and Rum, Sodomy, and the Lash, so I'm good.

As stated here, you'd be missing out on the six or so bonus tracks included on each reissued disc that came out in 2004 along with the new liner notes. I don't know how big of a Pogues fan you are, but the reissues are very, very nice.

I'm a long time fan. I already have the reissues, but I thought this might be a decent and inexpensive starter set for a friend who is just now discovering them.
