Tears for Fears have been on a very successful retro tour on their own this past year. They don't need a festival. No clue where Soul II Soul are. But Sade is still a very viable and current artist. She had one of the biggest albums of 2010 and doing her own worldwide tour this year.

Holy cow! Go West? Howard Jones? T'Pau? The lineup is just about identical to the songs that get the most play on my Zune. Wish they'd all come to the US

Eh, other than the Beat, most of those artists only have one or two songs I like. I'd love an 80s tour like this if I could select the artists.

Man, the August 21st England or July 31st Scotland concerts would be amazing. The Human League, Kim Wilde, Nik Kershaw, Toyah, China Crisis, Heaven 17, ...all artists that I own the complete catalogues of.

Better check the line up. The English Beat tours in the U.S. these past 10 years has only been Dave Wakeling. And even though they show just Ranking Roger in the picture next to the Beat on the website, I bet it's just Dave again. What the hell is going on between those two where they won't play live together anymore?

Yeah, got my ticket to OMD in Atlanta as well. Can't wait. They are even playing the same theater where I saw them back in 1985.
That festival has some terrible artists, but also a few brilliants bands. I'd love to see The Bluebells, China Crisis, Fiction Factory, Haircut 100 and Captain Sensible. That's enough right there that I'd probably attend if nearby.

I have been to the last 2 of these and on this weekend I'm going to be camping for the whole event.
They are really good festivals. Everyone there is there for the music, it's also kinda hard to get to so people don't turn up on the chance of a cheap ticket and get pissed in a field.
The main thing about this one i'm not to hot is that if you look at the full list it appears they have a few 70s club classic acts that don't really sound "80s" to me. But thats just me.
But I have seen ABC and Go West were great last time. Nik Kershaw and Howard Jones have also played great sets (they were both the reason I had spiky hair in my youth).
The well-known acts get to do about 4 songs. For the lesser known acts they just have this house band to save time.
