Not sure how new this feature is, but it doesn't seem to be available for all shows.
Rihanna in Tampa, FL
Click on a section. Dark dots are available seats. Use the '-' button on the right to zoom out and see the entire venue.
Interesting idea... but all it tells me is that even a Top 40 star like Rihanna can barely sell 50% of a venue.

This is how it should be for every show. Though I generally always go for open floor admission, if I'm stuck in a seat I'd rather be the one picking it than TM.

Re: Ticketmaster/LiveNation - Interactive Seating Map
From what I've seen (and correct me if I'm wrong), I don't think this is available as soon as tickets go on sale. So when they go on sale, you have to go through the whole "best available" BS, but if/when there are tickets left over after the initial rush, you can pick them.
But like I said, I could be wrong. It's been a while since I've tried to get tickets the second they go on sale.

I thought the same thing when I checked to see how last week's Iron Maiden show was selling. The upper sections were all available, but when I went to the show the next night, they were all filled. Guess a lot of people buy tickets at the last minute.

It's interesting to see this just to see how poorly many concerts are selling. Jason, I went and saw Iron Maiden in The Woodlands, TX and thought it was pretty sold out. I was in the lawn and there wasn't too much room remaining.
