Vote for your favorite ROMANTICS tune - there are just two to choose from

Vote for your favorite ROMANTICS song.........whether it be the chart-favorite, Talking In Your Sleep (#4 ); or the stadium anthem, What I Like About You (#25).

Personally, I sincerely despise What I Like About You, but still sing along with Talking In Your Sleep. The lyrics might be cheesy, but I can't resist the riffs in the song. Cannot.

Another for What I Like About You. Talking in your sleep is a very good song but just prefer the other one.

After seeing the trailer for Marmaduke, I never want to hear "What I Like About You" again.

The Romantics only recorded two songs?

They're only known for two songs.

I mean, c'mon - unless you're a die-hard Romantics fan who has all their albums, but to the "commoner," they're only known for the two hits.

I wouldn't say I was a 'die-hard', but I definitely fall into the latter category, and even I'd agree with you on that call. I went with "Talking In Your Sleep", as it's also on my favorite Romantics album, and isn't as played out as "What I Like About You".

You despise "What I Like About You"? This is an easy choice.

I remembered they had one other song that I liked, and after some searching I found it:

I forgot about that one but it was popular. I am against the grain, both OP songs were good, but I always liked What I Like About You better.

Randy Castillo looked a lot like the Romantics drummer.

They really had a slew of great songs. I have 38 of their tunes on my iPod!

I always enjoyed Talking In Your Sleep more than that other one. If you had listed Rock You Up it might have been closer for me.

I vote for One in a Million. Talking in Your Sleep was good too; What I Like About You was just OK and pretty much ignored when it was new, but since it's been used in a billion movie trailers it's on my list of songs I never want to hear again.

I got the Romantics mixed up with the Rembrants and I came in here to shit on that song from Friends and vote for That's Just The Way It Is Baby.

Anyway I voted WILAY

Not so sure about that. I seem to remember that song had been released for awhile before it actually 'took off'.

What I Like About You Reminds me of slinging back cheap rot-gut booze at various college bars back in the early 1980s. There was one place that had "8 for 1" drink specials.

The college bar/clubs I went to back then played both "What I like about you" & "She's got everything". The Romantics version of the old Kinks song. Songs 6 & 7, both under 3 minutes.

Does anyone else remember this?

I'd also vote "One in a million" over "Talking in your sleep".

I can't say for the whole country, but the rock station in Indy played "What I Like" quite a bit when it came out. Could be a regional as Lemmy suggested.

Can we vote on the hair? :lol

Also, is it just me, or is light shining through venetian blinds an '80's cliche?
