Bret Michaels in critical condition
...from a brain hemorrahage.
Loved Poison when I was younger and they still put on a pretty good show even though I'm not into hair metal anymore. Hope he pulls through.

Despite all of the Rock of Love garbage, I've always liked this guy and really hope that he pulls through. Unlike some other musicians, he never seemed to take anything too seriously, and knew that he was living a blessed life. I saw an article in one of the latest People magazines about his two little girls, and it would be awful if they lost their father. In the article, he even talked about how he thought that their mother was probably the one for him, and didn't rule out getting back together with her.
According to TMZ, he is stabilized now.

Never a fan of hair metal or Poison, and certainly not a fan of any of his godawful reality shows...but whenever i have seen the guy interviewed he does seem like a genuinely nice, down to earth guy. Why is it that this kind of shit happens to nice folks and yet we are left with total douches who live long lifes? Hope he pulls through and makes a full recovery anyways.

Been a Poison fan since the beginning, love them and Hair Metal, wishing Bret a positive outcome, like others said he is a super person, he is a friend of a friend of mine.

Some are thinking it's from that knock on the head he got when part of the stage came down on his head after his performance at an awards show a few weeks ago.

From his Facebook page:
“Everyone at Michaels Entertainment would like to thank all fans and friends for their continued thoughts and prayers through this difficult time.
At this point Bret remains in ICU in critical condition. He is under 24 hour doctors care and supervision. We are hopeful that further tests will locate the source of the bleeding, which has still not been located. As we all know Bret is a fighter and we are hopeful that once all is complete the slurred speech, blurred vision and dizziness, etc. will be eliminated and all functions will return to normal.”

I haven't been involved with anything Bret has done in quite a while, but that's a pretty crappy way to spend your days. I hope he pulls through, mainly because everyone else has genuinely positive things to say about him, so he must be a good guy, and the world needs more good guys.

i hate poison, i hate hair metal and i thought he seemed like a phony douche on rock of love. like he was trying too hard to be mr sensitive.
BUT after seeing him in recent weeks on the apprentice i have actually started to like the guy and think that he is actually a genuinely nice person. this is pretty sad and i hope he pulls through.

Years ago, there was a terrible reality show where they found some loser and people would call in and vote on what this guy had to do each week. Anyway, this guy was an aspiring musician and they hooked him up with Brett Michaels on the show. Michaels was the highlight. He called the guy into the studio, talked about paying dues, and proceeded to send him on errands like washing Michaels's car.
The guy was totally pissed because he thought he was going to get to record with Michaels.

Bret Michaels Hospitalized for Heart Problems
Bret Michaels was rushed back to the hospital this week where doctors claim they found a "hole in the heart."
According to Bret's rep, the singer was complaining about "numbness on the left side of his body, predominately his face and hands."
After a series of tests, doctors concluded that Michaels had suffered a "Transient Ischemic Attack -- more commonly referred to as a "warning stroke."

Bret Michaels is refusing to take it easy, even after a series of medical emergencies in recent weeks. The rocker's guitarist Pete Evick shared in a Facebook post Monday that Michaels has been in and out of the hospital over the past few weeks for a series of health setbacks.
Evick says although Michaels had to miss an October 30th show in Champaign, Illinois for kidney complications brought on by his diabetes, he "managed to bust out of the hospital" and get to Memphis just minutes before their Halloween night performance at a tailgate party for the Memphis Tigers. He says even though Michaels made it through the show, he injured himself the following night and required further medical attention when he started bleeding out on his tour bus. Michaels was apparently rushed to ER where two stents were removed.
Despite the setbacks, Evick says Bret "continues to be steadfast in his dedication to bring the music to the people," adding, "He truly has to be held down to not perform." Earlier this year the Poison frontman had to be treated by paramedics during a show. In recent years he's had an emergency appendectomy, heart surgery and recovered from brain hemorrhaging.
