I will be really surprised if she sticks with the band. Tuomas would be asking her to hit the road on a major tour for the new album when the kid is about a year old, if my math is right. Would she do it? Rumor has it he almost passed on offering her the job because she had a kid, but the kid was about 5-6. Now it's a baby, that's a different matter.

I like her and think she's grown tremendously in the job, but if Floor Jansen or Simone Simons end up the new Nightwish singer one year from now I won't be in the least bit surprised.

Thankfully, I was able to meet Annette and the band when they came through Houston last year.

according to the blog, the guys in nightwish are supportive of her, granted it could just be press, and deep down they're pissed.

The timing for her is all bad. She said she's halfway through the pregnancy, so if the baby is born in July-August, that's when they are working on the demo. Then in January they record her parts, the album comes out in September, when the baby will be a year old. The kid won't even be walking and likely still nursing. She can't be away from a baby at that age for months at a time, and I'm willing to bet she won't want to be. Will Tuomas delay a world tour for her sake?

If I had to bet... Floor Jansen or Simone Simons. Tarja won't be back, not until she divorces Marco. Tuomas hates that guy way too much.

Damn, I just fell in love with DPP last fall and was looking forward to the follow up. So is that the timeline Traxan? They're looking at a September 2011 release? Yikes.

I don't see why she couldn't take the kid on the road. She'd only be on stage for a couple hours a night.

Why would Simone leave Epica? She's got a real good thing going there.

Doesn't Floor have After Forever? I only know her from her work with Arjen.

I have two kids under 5. They aren't that difficult.

After Forever broke up more than a year ago. Floor's been freelancing ever since.

Epica is a modest success. Nightwish is huge. And a vastly better band. Take Simone out of Epica and it's a third-rate power metal band with abysmal male vocals. Simone would be nuts to say no.

Well I love Epica and never could get into Nightwish no matter how many times I've tried. Although if Simone went to Nightwish, I may finally like them.
