Avenged Sevenfold drummer found dead at home
Fuck.

Police say James Owen Sullivan, a drummer and backup vocalist for the Southern California band Avenged Sevenfold, has been found dead at his home in Southern California.
Lt. John Domingo says the 28-year-old Sullivan, who went by the stage name The Rev, appears to have died of natural causes on Monday in Huntington Beach.
The Orange County coroner's office is investigating the death.
Avenged Sevenfold formed in Huntington Beach in 1999 and won Best New Artist at the MTV Video Music Awards in 2006. According to their MySpace page, the five-man metalcore band was working on their fifth album.
The band released a statement Monday expressing their sadness and calling Sullivan "one of the world's best drummers," and "our best friend and brother."

Bummer.
The cynic in me would be quick to point out that 28 year old rock stars rarely die of natural causes.

Another "natural causes" death like an overdose?

"Appears to have died of natural causes" seems to mean "we can't say squat until toxicology reports come back". But what the hell do I know? Good band, sad to see someone go so young.

That's sad. Natural Causes means nothing.

Actually an OD would be an "Accidental" death. Not Natural Causes.

Sad news
. Not a huge fan of theirs, but they do have a few tunes I enjoy. He is a sick drummer though. Especially the first part of "Almost Easy".

Didn't the band brag about all the drugs they consumed? I recall an issue of Kerrang! or some such zine where these guys were proudly talking about all the chemicals they ingested.

I haven't liked their recent albums much, but the guy was a good drummer. 28 is awfully young to be kicking the bucket.
