The Cure will release their 1989 masterpiece in a 3 disc collection that will comprise the album, rarities, and a remastered version of the band's live album "Entreat", during the "Prayers for Rain" tour.

As Kyle from South Park has stated before; "Disintegration is the best album ever!"

Fina-fucking-lly. I've been waiting for this remaster since they announced they were redoing the catalogue. Now if I could also get a deluxe edition of Wish, that would be great.

Great news! I had the original Entreat CD, but it was always annoying that it didn't contain all of the tracks from Disintegration. Also nice to see those DVD's finally getting a proper release.

To be honest, I am not too interested in the 2nd disk. Though the Remastered and expanded Entreat sounds good. VERY glad to hear about In Orange and Show finally getting a DVD release. Mixed UP 2 could be cool as well.

I'm in for the 3-CD Disintegration, the 2-LP Disintegation, and the DVDs of In Orange and Show, at the very least. I'll have to see prices and contents the BBC box and Mixed Up 2.

Wow, 3 discs, awesome. I've been waiting for this one, I'd have to say it's my favorite Cure album.

Oo, and Mixed Up 2! "Mixed Up" is one of the very few 'Remix' type albums I've actually liked.

Personally I would have removed the demo's disc, kept the Entreat expanded, and then put in a compilation of any live filmed footage during the Disintegration era as a bonus DVD (ala U2).

Everything really should be remastered to sound louder. We have the technology.

Sounds like a nice set. But am I missing something or aren't the album's singles B-sides ("Fear Of Ghosts," "2 Late," "Babble," "Out Of Mind") included in their original form? I just see things like demo instrumentals for those songs on the second disc, not the finished songs themselves. If those songs aren't present, that's quite an omission IMO.

The B-sides are on the box set that came out a few years ago. They are purposely not repeating them.

The bonus discs on the first few reissues were pretty crappy, but the Kiss Me and Head On The Door bonus discs were pretty solid.

Agreed. I think it and the 'Head On The Door' discs are the best. Of course, they're my 2 favorite Cure albums so that might have something to do with it as well.

I'm excited for 'Disintegration' finally because it's the last Cure album I really love so it's the last deluxe edition I'm going to have to get. 'Mixed Up 2' sounds intriguing though...

See that's the thing, there's a good chance that the remaster will actually be a downgrade from the original version.
