Favorite LPs under 35 minutes long?
Lately, I've been mostly listening to my records that are short and concise. It's not that the album length decides my enjoyment of it (quality is what truly matters) but it's a lot of fun just listening to short albums for a while; sometimes I'll even listen to them twice in a row. I also think that short albums force the musicians to be more selective with the material; after all, if you're just gonna put that amount of music time, all of the songs should ideally be the best they could come up with.
So I put the limit at 35, considering that was pretty normal when vinyl was the predominant format existing. And I'd prefer if you just mention LPs; if there's an EP that you feel should warrant a special mention, then let me on it. But I'm mostly looking for LPs. No singles though; that would make this thread pretty meaningless. Hopefully some of your mentions will be stuff that I haven't heard and will be interested in checking out.

And when I referred to them as short, I meant compared to today's LPs total running times.

Back when I listened to LPs, I never really paid much attention to run time... I'd just listen. I would imagine most of my older stuff (Beatles, etc) would probably fit in the "under 35 min" category.

Off the top of my head:
The Shins - Oh, Inverted World
The Stokes - Is This It
Taking Back Sunday - Tell All Your Friends
And if EPs are included, then Alice in Chains - Jar of Flies would fit the bill also.

Circle Jerks - Group Sex
Ramones - Ramones
First two in my head, but I'm sure I could dig out tons more from my collection.

Re: Favorite LPs under 35 minutes long?
Been lookin' forward to hearing this knowing it's considered one of his best. Checking the tracklist though I find out it's just 3 tracks, which makes me question: what is the distinction between EPs and LPs? I always thought it had to do with the amount of songs on the record more than anything, but seeing as Supreme only has 3 and it's considered an LP. Can someone sort this out better for me?

When you get into later albums/eps released on CD, the line dividing these terms seem to be more arbitrary.
