So people are paying $30 for a ticket and $40 for a plain black t-shirt with a claw logo on it? T-shirt salesmen need to die.

As has been pointed out, the majority of tickets are not $200....I only brought up that number since that was the cost of those really close/near the stage/in the pit tickets that we had seen pictures of previously in this thread....

Maybe they are priced on a show by show basis and it is dependent on the venue though...at the UVA stadium, the expensive $200+ tickets were all close to the stage...

Yeah, my floor seats were only $55 face. Of course TM tacked on about $300 of fees, bringing my total to around $70.

yes ...but my buddy dan got better footage than I. Look for DRay9911 on YouTube and he put his up.

It was good for hard core fans, but more of a bathroom song for most folks.

Fixed. The closest tickets are Field GA's that run about $70 after all the fees. The $250 tickets are the "best" seats in each stadium. I use the quotes because there are plenty of $250 seats that I would not pay that much for. I did spring for one of my shows for them, but only because I pulled great seats up for LA RIGHT next to the stage. Some are quite crappy for $250.

The best "deal" is GA's hence why they are the most popular ticket. I am doing one show at $250. 3 shows GA, and one show at $30 (Cheap seats way back, to just enjoy the stage)

Dang, just a question. Are you independently wealthy? 'Cause I can't afford to go to that many U2 concerts, as much as I would like to. (Yes, I'm jealous.)

Nope, but it comes around every 4 years and I see them a fair number of times. I know a girl who decided on Tues to fly to Dublin that Friday to see them a couple of times. Keep in mind she is probably seeing them 15-20 other times this tour (She flew to opener in Spain too)...There is probably more shows she is seeing than missing on the NA leg.

Thanks for the link to the merchandise pictures. Looks about like what they have on the website. I'm disappointed with the tshirt choices. None of them really jump out at me. And for $30, I want one that I think looks fantastic.

Re: U2 360° North American Tour

I'm seeing them from the "best" seats here in Vegas. Really expensive, even without a mark-up. Still, there's no way the Mrs would put up with standing in a mosh pit. We're too old for that shit. Just went to The Killers last week and Brandon Flowers halted the band and stopped playing a song to help break up a fight in the GA crowd. He admonished the perpetrators and told them "You just ruined "Losing Touch". If she would have ever even considered those seats before that, she wouldn't after that fracas.

Really enjoyed the show last night in Charlottesville...traffic to get in and out of the area was a beast, but U2 made it all worth it!

What an amazing show last night. The Claw lives up to the hype, really neat once every thing gets moving.

I'll be trying to find this out for the Vegas show. No babysitter issues. I just don't want to have to endure a single second of the Black Eyed Peas. (Has U2 ever had a worse opener?)

I agree with you on the BEP,but I had to endure 2 Vertigo shows within a week (Dallas&Vegas 1) with Damian Marley singing about the White Devil stealing his stash while some yahoo is waving a flag for 45 minutes.

While the prices do indeed suck, I remember reading that on the Zoo TV tour, that was the only part of the tour that made money.

I suffered through that once, but it was enough for a lifetime. I'll never forget the idiot with the flag.

Of course, when you come late, you have to endure the nightmare that is the outskirts of the Sam Boyd Staduim parking lot. Is it asking too much to pave the damn parking lot? This is a city of two million people.
