Songs for all the nerds?
What are some good songs that are about nerds, or are just generally nerdy? I'll start with a few:
Weird Al - White and Nerdy
Candypants - Nerdy Boys
Weezer - In the Garage
Jonathan Coulton - Re: Your Brains
Any more?
EDIT: I forgot the song that got me started on thinking about this topic yesterday:

Felicia Day & The Guild - Do You Wanna Date My Avatar

"Online" by Brad Paisley comes to mind.
Also, there is a song by Blue Harvest called "Green Lantern." It's about the main Green Lanterns from over the years, so you've got to be pretty nerdy to even care about it. Plus, you get extra nerd points for recognizing the significance of the band's name.

Re: Songs for all the nerds?
Still can't post links, but:
Del the Funky Homosapien "Proto Culture" (videogames)
Deltron 3030 - Deltron 3030 (the whole album, really. Futuristic computer virus warfare, rap battles, telepathy, teleportation, New Coke, etc.)
And then of course there are the videogame-themed bands that cover videogame soundtracks such as The Advantage, Metroid Metal, The Black Mages, etc. The Black Mages is probably the most exceptionally nerdy, seeing as it actually includes Nobuo Uematsu (the composer of some of the most famous Final Fantasy soundtracks and other Squaresoft games) doing progressive rock/metal renditions of his own compositions.

For REAL nerds, not the cute, retro-chic version that exists these days. No 8-bit videogame worship here, 'cause 8-bit videogames didn't even exist yet.

Also, a lot of metal (Power Metal in particular) is targeted at fantasy SF/F fans.

It's always been said, you can't spell "geek" without a double-E. And here's a song just for us:

Re: Songs for all the nerds?
Hard to choose from all the Mojo Nixon & Skid Roper songs, but "Elvis Is Everywhere" may be the best representative. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=knc9LKjukSQ
Of course, there's also "Burn Down the Malls," "Don Henley Must Die," "Debbie Gibson Is Pregnant With My Two-Headed Love Child," and the immortal "She's Vibrator Dependent."
******************************************************
Also, I'd think all nerds could rally around these classics from The Legendary Stardust Cowboy (the A/B sides of same 45 rpm):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9EEZAivzl1Q "Paralyzed"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oRUNtWL3Fgc "Who's Knocking On My Door"
If you've never heard those two tracks, you owe it to yourself to give a listen. What's truly amazing (aside from the obvious) is that J.Henry Burnett is credited as co-producer and played the manic drums on "Paralyzed."
Yes, that J.Henry Burnett...who now goes by a much better-known nickname. What humble beginnings....
