Here.

Not really seeing anything worth buying on the list, but thanks.

Just in case you missed this free track - Eight Days of Hanukkah - with lyrics by Senator Orrin Hatch.

Re: Amazon MP3 Album DOTD thread (part 3)

Has anyone been able to find any MP3 albums $7.99 or higher that works with the get a $5 MP3 album for free? I've bolded the key phrase below:

Purchase any qualifying Amazon MP3 album priced at $7.99 or more through 1-ClickŪ ordering by 12:00 AM Pacific standard time on January 10, 2010. The Amazon MP3 albums that qualify are those that display the offer message on their product information pages. Other MP3 items not displaying the offer message, and all other types of items, fail to qualify for this promotional offer.

I haven't been able to find a single one, unless I'm just not looking in the correct place. Any help would be appreciated.

I didn't see anything saying any albums qualified on the product page. I just went ahead and downloaded a $7.99 album I wanted and immediately received a code for the $5 credit by email after completing the purchase. I admit that part of the fine print had me confused when I first read it. However I noticed in the top right corner of the page with the offer details it also says to get the $5 credit to download any MP3 album priced $7.99 or higher. I think that is all that matters to qualify for the credit.

I bought 2 MP3 downloads, not knowing anything about this promotion, and got 2 $5 credits, so I guess there is no limit to how many. As I go back and check now, the pages say nothing about the promotion.

Also I didn't get a "code" but just an email saying that if I buy one of the 800 $5 MP3, the credits will be applied automatically.

I just got this soundtrack for Christmas as a gift. Awesome soundtrack. At this price I highly recommend it to all Wes Anderson fans familiar with his music tastes, even if you haven't seen the film yet.

Can't quite pull the trigger yet. Have requested it from the library for a listen, though. LOVED the movie.

Not a bad looking one disc overview.

^There must be endless ways of repackaging his songs. RCA will be putting out more Elvis records for the next 100 years.

Not a bad looking one disc overview.

It contains perhaps the most unnecessarily redundant song title in music history:

7. Love Me Tender (From The 20th Century-Fox CinemaScope Production ''Love Me Tender'')

Who are the Avett Brothers? Amazon and LaLa are constantly pimping their albums, but I've never heard of them in the real world.

They are an incredible band.

Their earlier stuff was kind of bluegrassy and their more recent stuff is much more acoustic folk and kind of reminds me of Iron & Wine a little. I absolutely love them.

1/1 (Friday) - The 99 Most Essential Chopin Masterpieces - $1.99

I love these Classical compilations. They're huge music files, but that's because there's a lot of content and at least the other ones have been very good quality stuff.

Indeed. As a very casual Classical listener, the majority of my Classical library is from these compilations as DOTD, because I know I can get pieces I will recognize and like for a good price.

1/2 (Saturday): 11:11 by Rodrigo y Gabriela - $1.99

I really recommend this band if you want to hear something different going on using a guitar. Amazing confluence of styles and sounds. I bought their first CD when it was on sale this way and I enjoyed it, but couldn't bring myself to spend the $5 on this one. Check out the previews and go for it.
