Updated sale dates for three US shows
Evidently, that Live Nation press release about the final US sale dates was not entirely correct. Sales will not be happening quite as suddenly as they reported; they will be next week, not this week. U2.com have finally announced the remaining six shows (unsurprisingly still with no acknowledgement that they briefly displayed and then withdrew these dates on 9 March and left fans in uncertainty for nearly a month). Their article gives different on sale dates for Raleigh, Norman, and Las Vegas to those provided by Live Nation, and the Raleigh and Norman sale dates are substantiated by Ticketmaster listings. Las Vegas is not listed there as it will likely be sold by UNLV Tickets due to Sam Boyd Stadium's standard ticketing arrangements, but is not listed on their site yet either.
Note that the Houston, Dallas, and Glendale sale dates are unchanged. The correct sale dates, in brackets after each show and bolded if changed, are as follows:
· 2009-10-03 - Raleigh, North Carolina, USA - Carter-Finley Stadium (17 April)
· 2009-10-12 - Arlington, Texas, USA - New Cowboys Stadium (20 April)
· 2009-10-14 - Houston, Texas, USA - Reliant Stadium (20 April)
· 2009-10-18 - Norman, Oklahoma, USA - Gaylord Family Oklahoma Memorial Stadium (17 April)
· 2009-10-20 - Glendale, Arizona, USA - University of Phoenix Stadium (20 April)
· 2009-10-23 - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - Sam Boyd Stadium (18 April)
U2.com also indicate that presales will take place next week. The presales for all six shows will follow the usual Tuesday-Thursday schedule, starting on Tuesday, 14 April.

If anyone knows any presale codes, I'd love to hear about them.

Seriously? It's U2-- who gives a rat's ass about the opening act? Come late, skip it or hang outside in the concourses buying drinks and merchandise. Personally I never watch the opening acts (except when Fiona Apple opened for Coldplay a few years back). That's just time for me to fight strip traffic and park.

I was already uncertain if I was going to go. I bought a lot of concert tickets recently and despite liking the new U2 I still think Bono's voice is really sounding strained lately. Black Eyed Peas just kind of cemented it for me. I don't want to contribute money to them in any way, shape, or form.

Muse though, so that's a plus.
So tickets go on sale 5pm local this Thursday?

And Daniel, I know what you're talking about. Not wanting to go because of the Black Eyed Peas. It's the principal. Whoever thought about including them in the line up should be shot. Worst double bill ever.

That too. It was like when I had to sit through Macy Gray before seeing David Bowie. Who thought that pairing would work well? Because it didn't.

Got my field tickets for the Rose Bowl in the mail today. I'll probably be arriving early to have a better shot at getting closer to the stage, but AFAIK they haven't posted the official general admission policy for this tour to see how fans will be selected to get into the "inner circle".

I think the pricing varies based on the venue though. According to Ticketmaster, there are $250 seats in the 100, 200 and 300 levels at Soldier Field in Chicago. In Atlanta, the only $250 seats are in the lower level.

Thank you. Gee, I dunno if it's worth that much more for those seats -- they're better but certainly not universally spectacular. What are you going to do?

I'm going to the Atlanta show, and I went for a $95 ticket. I bought one as soon as the public onsale started, and I got single in section 131.

Re: U2 360° Tour 2009
I know. I think I paid right around the same for a pair of GA tickets for Pasadena. I don't have it in front of me, but I it was around $132.00 after a $55.00 face value ticket X 2. Absolutely ridiculous.

Re: U2 360° Tour 2009
For U2 fanclub members, the code is good for presale purchase of up to four tickets to USA shows. This means you could, in theory, purchase one ticket to each of four unique shows during the US tour. For Europe, because the agreements with the venues and ticketing agencies differ, fanclub members can only purchase up to four tickets for a single show. This is from memory, so somebody please correct me if I am mistaken.

Re: U2 360° Tour 2009
I thought it was 4 for 4 Shows in the US?
The presale ticket limit is up to 4 tickets per member for a single European show OR 4 tickets per member for up to 4 North American shows. Remember there are more presales coming up, so make sure you use your presale code to access the presale for the show of your choice.
And the presale code is a one person use deal. i.e. linked to your account.
