So, do we actually know when the Beatles CDs are being reissued?

Has anyone revealed and/or hinted at a date?

I was just going to start a thread on this a while ago. Would be a great reason to finally actually buy the CDs/LPs.

I seriously salivate at the idea of having every Beatles album in HD, 5.1 audio. Love was such a tease, and I really hope that eventually the whole discography is handled with care.

I believe the theory that the work has been completed, and they're just waiting to iron out the details with Apple regarding iTunes, and then we'll see a massive launch. The Beatles could restore the economy all by themselves!

Also, I don't believe my life will feel complete if we never see a proper DVD/Blu-ray release of the film "Let It Be"

It would seem like a good idea to release them in tiers, leading up to the release of the Beatles Rock Band game. A great tie-in. There was a box set of some of their Capitol Albums remastered a while back. I prefer the UK releases, so I never bought it, but I know it's floating around.

I think Parlophone should release them kinda like Universal is doing the U2 remasters. Not all at once, but spacing them out so each album gets it's attention

It's ridiculous that the catalog hasn't been remastered yet. Consider this : More time has elapsed since the Sgt Pepper CD came out in June 1987 than elapsed between the album's debut and the CD version (twenty years, to the day). That's hard to comprehend.

I heard that Paul's divorce with Heather Mills kept it off the market for awhile because he didn't want these out before the settlement was reached since he knew how they'd sell. But he paid her off almost two years ago, what's the excuse now?

I've got my albums to tide me over, but it would be nice to buy remastered CDs, provided they do them right (original mono/stereo master tapes, no wonky EQ or noise reduction).

Someone who's heard tracks from the White Album says they have.

Based on 99.999999% of the remasters out there, I'm not holding my breath on that one

I've got the Purple Chick recordings to tide me over until then... but it's a darn shame the remastered CDs aren't available yet.

Who is supervising the remasterization anyhow?

If the Love remix/remaster is anything to go by - these will be fantastic and well worth the wait.

The Love 5.1 mix is an amazing listening experience. If they can duplicate this on other releases, I'll be there.

What's the consensus on the Anthology and Yellow Submarine 5.1 DVD mixes?

I remember reading that George Harrison and Ringo Starr were happy with what they did for the YS DVD.

I hope that, as with that DVD, they release these tracks with alternate "modern" mixes in addition to the originals. It's a little annoying to hear the vocal in the left or right channel instead of in the middle, especially with headphones. Of course, they need to preserve the original mixes too.

In regards to remixes, it's sad to me that this has been so long that George Martin probably won't have the level of input that I wish he had.
