The single has been out and about for a few weeks now and it's fantastic. I'm beyond excited for the album and the remix package looks amazing. There's supposedly a 12" format for the single as well, it just hasn't been finalized yet. Which is great as the artwork is also wonderful.

No US date confirmed yet, but I'm sure it'll be coming at some point. Anyone else looking forward to this?

edit... I just listened to that thing 5 times in a row. It's as good as many of their past hits. Hope the album can sustain that kind of yummy.

Supposedly they've also got another remix in the works - I forget exactly, but I think it was Lady Gaga's next single after 'Poker Face' in the UK. [Not sure which track it was, though.] That would makes sense as she's duetting with them on 'Nothing has been proved' at the Brits this month.

You can listen to 30 second snippets of each song on iTunes UK if that's your thing.

I wasn't going to but couldn't resist the temptation. I wish I had now, as they all sound great and now the wait is going to be even harder...

No vinyl listing yet. :( This can't be the first album they don't release on LP - the artwork is just too beautiful. Anyways, with no US release date in sight I'll probably be importing this one. [I feel like we knew US info for "Fundamental" before the UK release date even though it was a few months later.]

Recordstore.co.uk also has the single with a bundle deal for both CD formats - 3.50 for both discs is a great price, and I've always had good luck with them.

There's also a free download of their Lady Gaga remix at aol.co.uk today.

the US release WAS scheduled on Astralwerks for the very next day after the UK release - tuesday March 24th... but it has been delayed...

the new official date of US release has not been announced but april 14th & 21st are both heavily rumored...

Thanks for the tip - I hadn't heard that yet. If it's only a few weeks, I can probably hold off for a US release - I'll need time to spend with the single anyways.

That said, the remixes are out there and it's very tempting to give in and sneak a listen....

Previews are now on uk itunes. Can't wait to own it. I don't think it's been mentioned but "This Used To Be The Future" on the bonus disc will be a duet with Philip Oakey from The Human League. I think afterward would be a good time for a follow up to Alternative. Yes would be another 5 albums starting from Bilingual and hopefully with all the momentum they can finally release the expanded editions of Nightlife, Release, and Fundamental.

Supposedly this is still on target for a 03/24 US release on Astralwerks. A friend "in the know" confirmed that, and there's a proper pre-order up on Amazon.com right now. If that stays put it would be very nice.

New stuff sounds promising, can't wait. Thanks to all for the links- loved the Brit awards performance. It would be awesome if PSB could get a breakout hit in this stage of their illustrious and impressive career. I can't believe I've been listening to and lovin them for 20+ years.

If you love them so much you should become a PIN-HEAD (that's what they call us the fans).

After that Brit awards performance I went and trackdown Lady Ga Ga cd (the UK-version) and that some good stuff there pick-it-up if you can.

When you pre-order the album from the UK iTunes you get that Brit awards performance as a bonus. I really liked the mash-up they done that night, well picked songs and ending with West End Girls was great.
Just booked tickets to see them at The O2 in London in June (2 days after my birthday so that will be nice!).
This will be the 6th time I have seen them.

According to Amazon.com, the list price in the US is going to be $23.99. I was looking around last night, and if you order it from Amazon.co.uk at their price of #12.98, it ends up being about the same price after shipping and conversion is figured in. So I'll end up doing that - I can't wait another month. :(

They've put a 10-minute megamix of the album streaming from the official site mainpage. I'm not sure if all the songs are in it - I don't think so - but the ones that are sound gooooood. Especially the single [obviously], "All over the world" [my money is on it for the second single] and "Pandemonium".

damn, bad move on Astralwerks IMO. 4/21 is the same day Depeche Mode's album comes out here as well, and most of my friends love both of them, but of course, these are the people who'll buy the import anyways.

Any word on a vinyl release?

True on both parts - however, if I'm remembering correctly the release date on this one is a lot closer than it was for "Fundamental".

As of now, there's been no official mention of any kind of vinyl release for the album or the single - which is nonsense. I've heard a rumor of a 4-track 12" for "Love etc" but the single comes out next week and there's been no announcement for it, so I kind of doubt it's happening.

I can't believe this will be the first PSB album with no LP release - especially when it has the best art in ages - but it's starting to look that way...

roughly half the album (6 tracks) have leaked. I like what I've heard so far, definitely plan on purchasing this.

what are the best PSB albums? I've mainly been a casual fan with only the two hits collections, Very, Behaviour, Fundamental and a few maxisingles. I want to get deeper. I know Very and Behaviour are generally regarded as the best ones. What other ones should I get?

Pick up "Alternative" it's a two disc B-sides collection. Really good stuff. It covers 1985-1994 or so.
Personally I love the Nightlife era stuff, but a lot don't. Anything after bilingual is pretty subjective, you will either love or hate it. Anything before that gets more love from more people.
