I just watched the dvd last night imported from the UK... it sounds great and looks good (although I wish it had come out on blu-ray)...

but the packaging says it's in DTS...

it is NOT - you have the option of stereo, dolby digital 5.1, and audio commentary with neil & chris...

no DTS anywhere

kinda disappointing

obviousily I'm up for the Glasto performance from earlier this year, but I really want their 2000 Glasto performance on the main Pyramid Stage - where they did a fantastic version of 'What Have I Done to Deserve this' with Catatonia's lead singer Cerys Matthews.

Sometimes I really resent how this band uses/abuses its fans with their releases. I don't enjoy having to keep up with each release in each country to see what's on what. And another greatest hits? Just release the DVD.

To be fair to PSB I don't think they have really ever over milked the "best of" route.

Unless I am missing something they have had two singles collections. I'm not counting "Essentials" because that was a limited specialty release.

1 Discography in 1991 (Singles from mid 80's until 1991 in order)
2 Pop Art in 2004 (Which collected all their single from the mid 80's up until 2004, in an out of order form)

It's 2010, why not have a "best of" compilation? And with an added dvd, I don't see what the problem is. The price of the collection is probably about the same as the dvd would be alone.

I really like that list. Will be getting this.
This Friday tickets go on sale for a one-off charity concert in London. They are supposed to have some good support acts. Gonna get tickets for me and my girlfriend.

The official site mentioned early next year - though if it is anything like the delay in getting 'PopArt' out over here, it could be a while. (They've been on five or six different labels over the years on the US so licensing becomes an issue.) And then, there's no promise of the DVD for the US release - I don't recall if the 'PopArt' DVD got a US release or just the CD, but I know the 3xCD version did not.

I hope that we eventually get the digital EPs in the US, there's a few mixes and dubs on them that aren't on the CDs...of course. Kind of makes me long for the days of tracking down multiple promo 12"s to get all the mixes.

I got the "Popart" DVD from Canada- don't think that ever got a US release but Canada is close enough. Might just have to order the UK release of the new one, since I've got at least one player that can play PAL discs but would rather have NTSC for convenience's sake.

Seems more like padding.

Really like "Together". It's one that sticks with you.
Wasn't getting this because I already own ever DVD release but all those old videos are too good to give up!

watched the Glasto 90min set video this afternoon - wow! the occasional shot of the festival crowd really conveys a great vibe.
