i wondered why the cramps where in the top searched Wikipedia articles yesterday. i really only like the "stay sick" cd but its still sad. they are legends.

Yes, when they were still punky. Also the Ramones. I remember stumbling across the 6 inch high "stage" at CBGBs while they were playing heading towards the "bathrooms" down the stairs by the back door. Saw the Dead Boys there too.

RIP Lux. I wish I had seen the Cramps live at least once.
Damn, that's awesome. I would have loved to see a bunch of those bands in their heyday.

I get the feeling that The Cramps were an unusual band in that their show way back when was probably very similar to their shows up till recently. All 4 times I saw them they had GREAT energy, and I can't imagine them being much better, even 20 years younger. I count Poison Ivy as the first woman I ever saw naked, after having seen them on Halloween '96 with the see through "costume" she had on.
