Massive influence. RIP. Can't say I cared much for what they did after the 80's, but they were an incredible band.

I've been a Cramps fan since I was a teenager. I'm in my mid-40's now. This is a huge loss.

I just noticed that my copies of Songs The Lord Taught Us and Bad Music For Bad People are missing. Must replace.

Saw them so many times in CBGBs and Club 57 back in the late 70s. The Cramps, Void Oids, Television, Patti Smith, Talking Heads, ah those were the days. He will be missed.

Yes, when they were still punky. Also the Ramones. I remember stumbling across the 6 inch high "stage" at CBGBs while they were playing heading towards the "bathrooms" down the stairs by the back door. Saw the Dead Boys there too.

You suck. But in the best possible way. Those would be some cool memories.

They are even though they are sometimes difficult to remember. Substance (ab)use was not an option back then, it was compulsory.

RIP Lux. I wish I had seen the Cramps live at least once.

Damn, that's awesome. I would have loved to see a bunch of those bands in their heyday.

Re: Lux Interior (The Cramps) RIP

I get the feeling that The Cramps were an unusual band in that their show way back when was probably very similar to their shows up till recently. All 4 times I saw them they had GREAT energy, and I can't imagine them being much better, even 20 years younger. I count Poison Ivy as the first woman I ever saw naked, after having seen them on Halloween '96 with the see through "costume" she had on.
