No Doubt: 2009 Summer Tour + New Album?

nodoubt.com

LOS ANGELES, CA – Grammy-winning rock band No Doubt announced plans for their 2009 summer tour today.

The band will launch their highly anticipated tour this May, playing outdoor amphitheaters and arenas throughout the summer. Singer Gwen Stefani said, “The whole reason for going on this tour was to have fun, try on all our favorite songs again and to get inspired to make new music. It feels good to be all together again."

No Doubt has selected Paramore as the special guest for the tour. "What a dream tour! We couldn't be more excited to kick off 2009 by touring with a band like No Doubt,” said Paramore singer Hayley Williams.

"Get there early...this is going to a be a great night from the moment the lights go down," said bassist Tony Kanal.

The third act that will open the show will be shared among The Sounds, Janelle Monae and Bedouin Soundclash. Check your local listings for more specific information.

“Now that five years have passed, the excitement level for us is extremely high. We are so fresh and ready! I feel like a kid again when rehearsing these songs,” said drummer Adrian Young.

The 2009 No Doubt Summer Tour will be produced by Live Nation and will include stops in both the U.S. and Canada. The band last toured in 2004, co-headlining with Blink 182.

Tour dates and on sale information will be announced soon. Check www.nodoubt.com for the most up to date tour news.

---

I have to say this was unexpected but I love them so I'm gonna try and check out a show. Definitely looking forward to a new album if it drops.

It's good to see Gwen throwing her old bandmates a bone.

Please, PLEASE, do not go to Fiddler's Green. I want to see these guys, but I refuse to go to that venue.

I should have gone to the No Doubt / Garbage tour.

Fuck Paramore.

I pray to my lord and savior Jesus Christ that Vegas gets The Sounds as the opening act.

I didn't like the direction their music started to take, so I'm dubious about this.

If an opening act doesn't totally suck, it's a welcome surprise for me. I just assume I'll hate them and try to come about 30 minutes late. It's only the headliner I'm interested in.

Can't wait...I usually don't care about opening acts, but I like Paramore so I'll have a reason to get to the venue on time for once.

Re: No Doubt: 2009 Summer Tour + New Album?

ah

No Doubt have finally announced the dates for their much-anticipated summer tour with Paramore. The trek will kick off with a pair of festival appearances — May 3 at the Bamboozle Festival in East Rutherford, New Jersey, and May 16 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, for Tiger Woods' annual Tiger Jam charity event. After No Doubt work off the rust that comes with a four-year hiatus, they'll kick into high gear on May 19 at the Save Mart Center in Fresno, California.

All in all, the Paradoubt (we just made that up!) tour will make 44 stops across North America before wrapping on August 1 in No Doubt's Orange County, California, home turf. Tickets for most dates will go on sale March 7, though members of No Doubt's Tour Club will be given an exclusive 72-hour pre-sale, which starts Thursday at 4 p.m. ET. Members of Paramore's fan club get their crack at tickets on May 2.

For more information on pre-sales, head over to NoDoubt.com or Paramore.net.

In addition to Paramore, the Sounds, Janelle Monáe and Bedouin Soundclash will serve as support on select dates.

Re: No Doubt: 2009 Summer Tour + New Album?

I'm humming and hawing about this...I'd like to see them for sure but $100 for floor? That is pretty steep for a band that used to charge no more than $30 back in the day... may have to skip it .

Fuck you No Doubt. Tell whatever promoter put you at Fiddler's Green to go to hell.

I would have paid to see you, but not now.
