As for his DIRL work, according to a featurette on the DVD the producers/director wanted one artist to do the music, a la Simon & Garfunkel/The Graduate and Cat Stevens/Harold and Maude. From what I've read, several songs on the soundtrack have been previously released, but a lot of it is new.

I still remember purchasing a used copy of this for $8 when I was 13. It was my second Chemical Brothers album (I got Surrender first, which is still my favorite).
Right now I am mostly listening to new albums I just got by John Williams, James Newton Howard, Hans Zimmer, The Aliens, Phoenix, Propellerheads, Michael Giacchino, Ryan Adams, Sia, Ed Harcourt, Beach Boys, David Bowie, etc.
I've been listening to tons of music this week.
