Just got an e-mail today about the upcoming Yeah Yeah Yeahs album!

I have loved every YYY album and EP, so I am very excited to hear the new material. Any other fans?

Yep, I was just about to post a thread. Great news!

I didn't really love Show Your Bones at first, but it slowly grew on me. Now I can't imagine life without it.

I'm hoping they go for a slightly harder/faster sound on this one.

Finally. I was just wondering the other day when they were going to have something new out.

Looking forward to the album. I recently enjoyed watching the Central Park concert on HD Net, and although Maps was a bit painful to listen to.

Big fan of their's, although I didn't love their last album. Hope this one is better.

As far as Show Your Bones, if you don't like the song "Turn Into" I don't know what to do with you.

I've never been big on them - "Fever To Tell" had it's moments but I thought it was a bit overrated, and I didn't care much for what I heard of "Show Your Bones" - but the single is fantastic and that album artwork is effing hot. I might be in for this one, especially if there's an LP pressing.

I don't really like the single. I'm not even sure if it's a grower either but all I know is that I really need to see them live. So I'll be picking it up regardless.

I guess I just don't think they ever made a great follow up to Fever to Tell. A record I really loved. Show Your Bones was good but really came out of left field. It was too folky and sad and nothing really stood out as much as that first record did.

I've loved all of their EP's including the Is Is one and I just hope this new album blows me away like the first one did.

I have no inside info, but if you didn't like the first single, then you might be in for a major disappointment.

From what I've read, for those still wanting something more like Fever To Tell, the YYYs are not obliging so far. I've heard this single is representative of the album as a whole.

just listened to the album a couple times through... i really like it a lot!

waaaaaaaaaay better than "show your bones". really heavy on electronic sound, spacy, and catchy.

sounds like a "comeback" of sorts to me. 4.5/5

Ughhhhhhh I KNOW it will grow on me, but I'm not liking it much at ALL. At least Show your Bones rocked occasionally.

I kind of feel the same way. Kinda drawls on and on. I might need some more time with it.

Still listening to this but so far I really like "Soft Shock"...

They've bumped up the release date due to the leak. I believe official downloading is now late March and hard copy is the first week of April.

Actually, I saw this on Itunes for download tonight.

Bands should have stuff ready for download as soon as the album is ready. This is a good idea.

Something in me and this album clicked today. Driving to it this morning made me really like it. YYY's are back, baby!

Loving Dull Life and Hysteric. This is definitely their best album, miles better than the last.
