So did anyone get Steve Wilson Insurgents? I saw it at BB and will get it with my $5 RZ card thats coming my way
That's actually one of my favorite tracks on IA. Easily my favorite album of theirs, although Stupid Dream ranks a close second.

Wanted to bump this...

I downloaded (from iTunes and eMusic) the entire (available) Porcupine Tree catalog. Damn, I was really missing out. But what I did find is that I like the "newer" stuff. From Stupid Dream on, it is staggering how awesome this band is. The early stuff is cool, but the newer stuff is amazing.

Also, I did get the Steven Wilson album and that is also amazing. The guy's talent knows no bounds.

Then you might be happy to know that there's one more Stupid Dream-era Porcupine Tree album out there that you're probably missing. Lightbulb Sun was reissued last year on CD, but for whatever reason I've never seen it on any digital music stores.

Yes I am missing that one currently. I was able to stream it somewhere (don't recall where) and it sounded pretty good. I might buy that one (I was planning on doing that anyways, I had complied a list of the best versions of each album to get....might post that in this thread).

Though I bought and own every CD these guys released, I got a torrent of everything and damn their early out of print rare stuff (yellow hedgerow) is awesome. It has songs that were only released like 300 copies. Very cool!

Re: I just discovered Porcupine Tree...

I just picked up [i]Insurgentes[/b], very good album. I listened to it as I was running errands, and I wish I had waited until I got home for the 5.1 mix for the first time. Ah, well.

Sat 19 Sept: LOS ANGELES - CLUB NOKIA
Mon 21 Sept: CLEVELAND, OH - HOUSE OF BLUES

Re: I just discovered Porcupine Tree...

I too also bought the album (I previously had a digital copy). Have yet to listen to the 5.1 mix, but I am looking forward to it.

Also, do you guys want me to post the list I mentioned earlier? I have compiled a list of the "most" definitive version of each album and where to buy them.

Re: I just discovered Porcupine Tree...

Sure man, post the list.

Anyone here heard O.S.I.? The new one 'blood' has Gavin on drums (replacing Portnoy) and he does a damn good job. Great CD.

I saw the new PT will be 2 discs and now on RoadRunner. 1st CD will be 1, 50 minute song!!! I hope that means alot of the rare stuff will come out for sale as RR is a money whoring label trying to milk every band they have.
