While I hate that EMI/Capitol is whoring out the back catalog (again!) these look pretty sweet. I'm a Radiohead singles fiend and own most (all?) of this but it sure would be nice to have it all together.

yeah, I bought all these as singles years ago. the ones from The Bends and OK Computer are simply amazing. A lot of those songs are as solid as the album tracks. They really hit their stride during that time.

Very excited about this. In for The Bends for now, maybe the other 2 depending on price.

These things are loaded. I'll probably get OK Computer.

I'm assuming that they'll do the whole catalogue this way. I hope so because I want Kid A as well.

Re: Radiohead: Pablo Honey, The Bends & OK Computer - Reissued & Expanded - March 24t

I wondered if they were ever going to get around to doing things.

They look quite solid - I never got around to tracking down all of the "Pablo Honey"-era singles on CD, so that one in particular piques my interest. I like how there's the b-sides then some previoulsy unreleased [commercially, at least] sessions on there to make it worthwile for those who already have the singles.

I don't like, though, how they've split the Astoria show up over 2 DVDs - how is that even going to look? I never bought the DVD release of it when it came out despite wearing out my VHS from watching it so much so that's slightly annoying. I'm also a bit sad - though not surprised - that the 'Planet Telex' mixes aren't on "The Bends" disc - I'd love a nice clean copy of the Trashed mix, but now I suppose that's never going to happen. *sigh*

Re: Radiohead: Pablo Honey, The Bends & OK Computer - Reissued & Expanded - March 24t

Just this past weekend I was listening to "In Rainbows" and wondering when EMI/Capital would get around to reissuing the classic Radiohead albums.

By the way, for those not interested in the DVD content, each of these albums will be released in BOTH "Collectors Edition" and limited edition "Special Collectors Edition" packages. The "Collectors Edition" includes the 2 CDs, while the "Special Collectors Edition" includes fancy packaging, the DVD, and postcards.

Yes, postcards. Radiohead fans, rejoice!

I will probably get them all, as I never really collected many of the b-sides. Any chance these will be released on vinyl as well?

In for The Bends and Pablo Honey. Might get OK Computer as well, although I think I have all those singles. I've got ~30 odd Radiohead CDs and it's still doesn't cover everything they've done.

Same here. I have the albums already, but I got them through yourmusic.com, $5.99 each. So the upgrade is worth it for me. I would love to see them on vinyl too.

be careful of Capitol vinyl. their re-issues are known for having all sorts of problems (I can't say from personal experience)

I as well.

too bad SACD or DVD-Audio never kicked off, "OK Computer" in 5.1 surround sound would have been sweet.

Indeed. There's actually no reason they couldn't include 5.1 mixes on the DVDs as well - there's no way there's not room - except I'm sure they're not going to bother investing more money into these than they have to, and that would be creating something that's not just sitting in a vault somewhere. Boo.

Thinking about it today, I'm in for "Pablo Honey" as its got the most to offer in terms of what I don't already have. There's enough extra stuff that's not already on something else on "The Bends" to probably make it worth it depending on price point. "OK Computer" is definitely lacking in extra material that I don't already have, but if the price is right I don't think I can buy 2 and not get the third.

It is a bit annoying I shelled out for the Best Of DVD last year and now all the videos I care about are going to be on the DVDs again. Oh well, something to add to the trade in pile...perhaps to fund these.

The "Deluxe" (2CD) editions are usually 19.99 at Best Buy around the time of release, and around 24.99 thereafter.

Who knows how much they'll try to charge for the "Super Deluxe" versions (them postcards ain't cheap!). I'm gonna guess MSRP of 39.99, so maybe 29.99 at the time of release?

I think U2 proved that the "usual" pricing for this type of release is not always correct.

This is really great to hear. I've been trying to assemble RH singles, and while it's nice to have them pieced together and hunt them down, this is really great to knock 'em out in one swoop.

Can't wait for 3/24!

Re: Radiohead: Pablo Honey, The Bends & OK Computer - Reissued & Expanded - March 24t

I live in the US but I ordered all 3 of the 2 cd / 1 dvd sets from www.amazon.co.uk ! with the current exchange rate and their price of 11.98 british pounds, I still will get each of them for only about $18.00 after shipping! I'd love to support them in the US and buy thru the US distribution but paying nearly double for them is not worth it - and with airmail shipping I'll probably have them 3-4 days after release date!
