I thought you'd give them more credit. Cults can have lots of members, you know. Don't discount the nostalgic foks who grew up with their music twenty years ago and want to relive the eighties.

Oh, good lord, are you for real? For real, for real?

Sharpen your reading comprehension skills: it doesn't.

It SAMPLES a Depeche Mode song called "Personal Jesus", but the song itself is called "Reach Out". Nowhere in the title or lyrics is the name "Jesus" mentioned.

Oh I give them loads of credit. And I too grew up listening to Depeche Mode. But you can't name too many bands who sell out arenas this many years on without being played on the radio anymore. I've seen many music writers call them the biggest cult band ever. Hell, when I mention them to friends or people when talking about music, you'd be surprised at the number of people who don't even know they're still around. Even worse, remembering them for "People Are People" only.

The Cure, R.E.M., Radiohead, The Rolling Stones...It could grow to a very big list actually.

Aside from the Stones, I've heard all of those bands on the radio when they release new material. Satellite radio that is. Depeche Mode? No.

Try being an a-ha fan. People think they released ONE song, "Take On Me", and believe they then ceased to exist. Not only are they still releasing new music, but they hold several World's Records for concert attendance.

Yeah, I know. If maybe MTV still existed, as it was intended, people would know more about these bands. Simply Red are still together and I bet most people in America do not know that.

If I were you I would do a search on the internet to see if the lyrics are posted anywhere. You also might want to see if there is a video out there too.

I take that back, if I were you I would blame atheists.

Not really understanding why she'd release another greatest hits album, considering she's only put out one album of new material since the last hits album. Even worse, she had only put out two studio albums and a handful of soundtrack cuts before that first hits album came out, so we're looking at two greatest hits collections for three actual albums.

Those people are WRONG. They also did that crappy James Bond song, THEN they ceased to exist.

I still think Minor Earth Major Sky is one of the best pop albums.

MTV Europe play Videos, well they don't play as much, but what is great is TV in the UK where there are about 30-40 Music Video channels.

Misguided, self-righteous, ill-informed overreaction based on religion? That's a new one...

I know, I love that. I discover so many bands just from flipping on the TV over there.
