Re: So, um... Phish is back
Oh man that would freakin' awesome!
Not gettin' my hopes up too much though. |
Re: So, um... Phish is back
I saw zzyx's post yesterday on Phantasy Tour, and I'm almost positive he was just fucking with people. First, I cannot imagine that the estate of Jimi Hendrix even knows who Phish is. Second, if they did, would they specifically request a bunch of nerdy, middle aged white guys to cover their son's set? Third, some of his posts later in that thread stated that Safeco was opening up its parking garage for camping, which is just absurd.
Let's take a minute to contemplate what a parking garage would look like at the end of a 3 day Phish festival. They'd probably have to demolish it. |
Re: So, um... Phish is back
Camping in a parking garage? I would want to be on the top level to avoid the flood caused by hippies pissing right outside their tents.

Re: So, um... Phish is back
Album cover for Joy...
http://media.musictoday.com/store/ba...ge/PHCD110.JPG It's actually pretty cool. |
Re: So, um... Phish is back
It's Cali.
|
Re: So, um... Phish is back
That reveal was great, loved the way they fucked with everybody over the few weeks.
|
Re: So, um... Phish is back
I was honestly getting tired of the map. Glad the location has been revealed.
|
Re: So, um... Phish is back
Well I thought that was pretty anticlimactic, they could have at least flown it back in with the hot air balloons.
Also what's up with not even giving us the details? Anyway, like I said weeks ago:

Re: So, um... Phish is back
Just booked a really nice RV. I think I'd rather do that than a hotel.
|
Re: So, um... Phish is back
Just got my tickets and an RV pass. Apparently, RV passes are already sold out. Crazy.

Re: So, um... Phish is back
I highly recommend downloading Friday's show from the Gorge if you haven't already.
Awesome jams in Gin, Sally and Light and my pick for best show of 3.0 so far. |

Agreed that Friday's show is best 3.0 show so far. Saturday's show is way up there as well. Still haven't heard the Chicago show from last night.
|
Re: So, um... Phish is back
heard the Chicago show was the worst of 3.0
I've seen 5 shows so far this year and like where the band is heading, hopefully Merriweather keeps it up. |

Re: So, um... Phish is back
So Joy has leaked
Really like it after a few passes, possibly the best since Ghost. Stand out tracks - Sugar Shack, Joy, Light |
Re: So, um... Phish is back
So, what an incredible festival! The amount of organization and planning that went into every single aspect made it (possibly) my most memorable Phish weekend ever (the 40 foot RV didn't hurt). Really hope they do it again next year.

Bring the festival back to the east coast. I listened to it on Sirius and thought they were really on for the most part.
So was that one of the best Suzy Greenburgs ever? Had a great time this weekend, let's hope this becomes a Southern Cali tradition! |

Also, I've been seeing live music since 1990 and seeing Phish since 1995. "Shine A Light" may be my favorite live music moment ever. "Just Wanna See His Face" ranks close behind. Phish nailed Exile on Main St. |

Re: So, um... Phish is back
put in for hartford x2, mansfield, and jones beach x2.
would love to do more, but bad timing with pearl jam tickets the week before. missed out on brooklyn phish 3d tickets. that was really poorly handled. really wanted the poster more than just being able to see it early. sucks. i'll be seeing it on the national release though. |
Re: So, um... Phish is back
I put in for MPP, Telluride, and the Greek.
|
Re: So, um... Phish is back
