Any metal fan should get this immediately. Relapse Records 25th anniversery is celebrating by releasing a by what you want sampler of all their best best. 184 songs. Very sick compilation album.

Regardless, I'm glad that they put this out. I hope it works well for them getting some extra sales.

Album is coming out this Friday, but is available for streaming in the link below. I picked it up at a show this week, it's one of the best death metal albums that I've heard in a while. I posted a video from the show in the concert thread.

This new Electric Wizard video is amazingly hypnotic. VERY NSFW, so don't watch if you aren't into drug fueled orgies that end in ritualistic sacrifice.

Can't believe this thread hasn't been bumped in almost 9 months.
I can't stop listening to Ihsahn's latest, Arktis. Just a phenomenally diverse and engaging album. It's made me go back and really fall in love with his back solo catalog as well.
This is probably track of the year for me, which is saying a lot considering Katatonia just released their new album.

Excited to see Wolves in the Throne Room this fall. Indoor concert though, sadly.

WITTR put on such an amazing show. It's eerie and raw and primal and I get such a feeling of catharsis every time I see them.

Earlier this month went to a pretty cool event here in San Diego, the San Diego metal swap meet. Bunch of dealers came in with used cds, shirts, patches, etc. and to end the day Exhumed played a show. Had a great time and highly recommend it. Was nice to have a place that had nothing but metal cds/LPs, picked up alot of great stuff.
Really like that new Ihsahn album and the new Gruesome has been getting alot of playtime.

The swap meet sounds cool, I'd be down to go to something like that here.

Man it's time for an update.
Sunburst -- Greek band that's equal parts Kamelot (especially the singer) and Nevermore (their guitarist wants to be Jeff Loomis REAL bad). Kinda funny the guitarist is named Gus.

Well this should be an interesting pairing.
Dave Mustaine has told Metal Hammer magazine that MEGADETH will tour the world with BODY COUNT, the metal band fronted by hip-hop legend, actor and director Ice-T, next year.
Mustaine and Ice-T had previously teased an upcoming collaboration on social media.
The MEGADETH mainman now says: "We're talking about a very large tour next summer with five bands on it with us. It's going to be more of a guest appearance than a direct support kind of thing.
"We've been looking at a lot of interesting acts, but for me I don't always try and pick out the flavor of the month — I have loyalty to my friends.
"I always thoughts that BODY COUNT, while if not for everybody, I thought it was great. It's not your normal metal band. It's cool to see somebody crossing over from the hip-hop world into the metal world.
"I think it's great to be open-minded about different people from different backgrounds."
BODY COUNT is working on their new album titled "Bloodlust", to be released next year through Century Media.
In addition to Mustaine, MEGADETH's current lineup includes longtime bassist David Ellefson, Brazilian guitarist Kiko Loureiro, best known for his work with ANGRA, and former SOILWORK drummer Dirk Verbeuren.
MEGADETH is continuing to tour in support of its latest album, "Dystopia", which came out in January.

Not the first time Body Count have done that. They toured with Exodus back in '92. I saw them at the Vic in Chicago, complete with Chicago PD protest line out front (because of "Cop Killer").
