Tesla drummer Troy Lucketta also revealed that the band's retrospective
box set is nearing completion. A whopping 40 UNRELEASED songs have
been mixed and mastered and are ready to go. A release is planned for

Kinda cool I guess. Seems kinda pointless though. Might be worth it for those 6 tracks. I'm more interested in the box set.

According to Troy Luccketta, the box set is due to come out 1st quarter of 2009 and will include... FORTY unreleased songs!!!

For me every single song on Mechanical Resonance and TGRC are worth hearing, so any compilations are only good for past that.

I'm far more interested in the upcoming box set, but this will still be good for the unreleased, non-album and b-sides stuff it offers, not to mention the remastered sound.

Since none of the band's earlier catalog has gotten the remaster treatment, and could certainly use it, the only other way to get anything of theirs that has been is to buy the 20th Century Millennium Collection that came out a few years back. And basically, these Gold collections that UNI puts out, are just a gloriously expanded version of those single disc offerings.

I know it's hard to pull the trigger on a greatest hits when you own all the albums, but this should help those that don't, Amazon has the MP3 set for $9.49. All 32 tracks for under $10!
