I first saw Muse live during their Absolution tour at the Wiltern, which has a capacity of 2,000. It sold out pretty quickly. When they stopped here on their last tour they played the Irvine Amphitheater, which also sold out rather quickly, but they've gotten a lot more popular because the capacity there is 16,000. Obviously, a show is as good as your seats, and a small venue gives you a better chance for better seats, but more than any other band, Muse really thrives and works well with a huge crowd.

well I generally agree. Muse's performance at the now closed DC venue The Metro Club was near catharctic - with a crowd of under a hundred, the energy and the songs were overpowering and mindblowing - now that was a very memorable show.
