Seriously, for someone who seems to be a foremost authority on what's "cool", wasting your time crapping on someone else's thread 2 days in a row doesn't give you the streed cred, holmes.
I'd suggest rolling away in your Heelys.

I know espousing your made-up tales about what I do, while twiddling with your dingleberrys, brings a rush out of you. That's your thing, man.
I've heard tales of people living vicariously through others, or fixating on someone to the point of stalking. I better watch my step....
You must have a thing for myspace -- possibly a negative experience. You keep harping on it, even though I never mentioned anything about that. I'm sorry internet dating -- your final frontier and last hope for human interaction and participation in the ritual us Westerners call "dating" -- has failed you.
I guess there's always crapping on other people's threads, contributing nothing but your sheer ignorance, and lowering everyone's collective IQ that mistakenly reads your posts. Thank goodness for that, or you'd have nothing else to do in your meager existence.
Me? It's no mistake that I read your posts. You're an idiot, and I'm calling you out on it.
Now back to regularly scheduled program. (And I shudder to think what that might be.)

Maybe someday you'll look back at your life and realize that calling people idiots online while worrying about what music will make you look cool to impress a girl is what Alanis Morissette was singing about.
An old man turned ninety-eight..

Mix tapes and mix CDs is a rite of passage in this society. I have memories of my very first mix tape...for myself, and for a purpose. I'm not the only one. Re-selling copyrighted music, you might have a point. I'm giving it to some as a gift.
So, dude, suck it up, stop whining, and get a life. Tryin to pick fights on an internet forum (and you had cast the first stone with bringing up NOTHING that had to do with the thread and making a comment regarding myself and a friend networking site) is lame.
If you're so concerned about copyrights, go work for a record label. I spend a cood chunk of my paycheck on CDs. I doubt they'd have a problem with me.
Maybe if ignore you, you'd get bored and run away?

Is that Paul Anka song a cover of the Oasis song? If so, that should be really interesting. Speaking of "Wonderwall" and Ryan Adams, have you heard his cover of it? Totally changes it up.
I'll check out that Rolling Stones tune.
Thanks for the suggestions!

Pavement's one of those bands I've never cared for, although admittedly I just never gave myself the chance to get too into them. I remember liking "Cut Your Hair" when I used to see that vid on 120 Minutes, back with MTV would play interesting music videos.
The Fruit Bats is an interesting suggestion. I remember my ex-girlfriend made a mix for me that included "Lives of Crime", and I always dug that tune. I never explored anything else by them, but based on that song along, I'll check it out.
I have a couple of Idlewild albums, Jawbreaker's Dear You -- although I don't think "Shirt" is off that album", and Son Volt's first two albums, and I know Drown is off of their first.
The rest I'll check out.
Thanks for the suggestion!
wow, this thread really brought the suck in the end...

I'm probably partly to blame for it. I could've just ignored the troll.

Dignam, the last time you derailed a thread and gave every appearance of trolling other members I said this:
And in the ensuing Feedback thread I said this:
As I said last time, this isn't the place to discuss the legality of filesharing, bootlegging etc. etc. And it certainly isn't the place to pick fights with other members and then try to paint yourself as some kind of champion of fair play.
I'm not really sure why you are here and don't really buy it that it is all about keeping things legal. If it was, maybe you'd be a little less obnoxious in the way you go about things.
Everyone else, please feel free to ignore completely any perceived trolling in threads here and instead just report it to me for action.
.... Dignam, if you have any further observations regarding moderating decisions in this and/or other forums, would you please start another thread in Feedback. If, however, you have ongoing problems with the site owner's actual or imagined policies, maybe this isn't the place for you.
For anyone who decides that they know better than the threadlocking moderator [me] and chooses to flout my request to cease and desist with any further discussion in Music Talk of the rights and wrongs of illegal downloads and related issues.... please prepare yourself for a posting holiday.

You are doing a wonderful impression of someone who holds the site and its humble servants in contempt.
