Can't believe no one has mentioned Tom Petty's "American Girl", from his self-titled debut. A masterpiece to caboose an otherwise shitty album.
A few others:
-"Saturday Night" (Hats) by Blue Nile
-"Strange Waters" (Charity of Night), "Tie Me at the Crossroads" (A Dart to the Heart), "Down Here Tonight" (World of Wonders), and "Messenger Wind" (You've Never Seen Everything) by Bruce Cockburn
-"Blind Faith" (Fields of Fire) by Corey Hart
-"The Red Plains" (The Way it Is) by Bruce Hornsby
-"Child for a Day" (Izitso) by Cat Stevens

"Nineteen Hundred and Eighty-Five" - Band On The Run w/the segueway back into the title cut and fadeout. An under-appreciated tune that never got airplay for some reason.

Reminds me of another great closing track that got FM play when the album was new and then disappeared, "The Window" off Fly Like An Eagle-Steve Miller.
