Great to see that John Locke did make it off the island!

Looked fine to me. Seeing Gustavo Cerati up on stage with her was a bonus.

That "John Locke" is one of the coolest rock and roll men ever to come out of Australia BTW.

Not really blown away by anything I've seen so far.

would be nice if they would show full sets, rather than jumping around ... I guess we won't be seeing Snoop Dogg's set from Hamburg

Don't know anything about Rihanna, but the chorus of that one song (the first?) sounded like a blatant ripoff of "Tainted Love" right down to the "dit dit" instrumental refrain in the background. Or was it my imagination in the wee hours of the morning?

I think that's fully intended; some of the lyrics were even the same if I heard right (I toss and turn...).

Is there anywhere online where these concerts will be able to be downloaded or streamed afterwards? I'd love to see some complete sets, including David Gray and Damien Rice.

I want to see Garth Brooks performing as well.

I wonder how much CO2 it took to create those accessories that Snoop is sporting. Day-um!

90% of the Germans in that stadium probably have no clue what he is saying

I've been checking in every few and so far Snoop is the only one who's not boring. But I have to say that the bleeping of his songs it seriously fucking them up.

I like his drummer's set. The pattern on the shells is that of blue Crip rags. Crip Cuuuuzz!!! Snoop is faithful to his set.

Well, just got up in the last half hour and I see that Sundance and Bravo are doing their own thing. Looks like Bravo is concentrating on the upcoming New York portion of the concert (is that Duff I see hosting? Used to have a huge crush on her, and glad to see she's still with us) while Sundance is taking a hostless approach bouncing from venue to venue (seems like the "live" in "Live Earth" is going to be a misnomer til New York starts).

So I guess I'll try and keep up with both channels and sit sometime this week and transfer (for my own personal collection, of corse) the concert portions from my VHS T-160's to DVD+R's.

So does anyone know about how many songs each act are doing? It seems like in London, they sing a few songs, and return later for more (Duran Duran and BEP). Of course, this could just be CTV moving things around and not clearly stating it.

They should've had all these concerts in an empty field - think of all the energy that was wasted building these ginormous stadiums.

*Sigh* So how many Space Bags has everyone ordered? The same five commercials over and over are getting kind of very annoying. If at least they were in HD... There should be a law against SD commercials on HD channels...

I don't know, but I'm almost sold on those mega-absorbing rags

Boy, did they have to work hard to censor Snoop. I listed live on XM (unedited) and figured UHD wouldn't show it.

Hope a HD-DHD set of this gets released ..

Maybe he was confused and thought it was David Hasselhoff?

I've skimmed through 10 hours of HD so far and watched two full songs. And I've avoided every single non-musical part of the telecast. At least that last part is considered a success.

MSN should have videos of the concerts available on Monday. I imagine they are streamed, not downloads, although I'm not positive. Here's the site.
