AC/DC: "Whole Lotta Rosie" about this super fat groupie that Bon slept with. They ran into her a few years after the experience and were disappointed when they found out that she lost some weight.

"Two Days In February" by the Goo Goo Dolls is basically Johnny's breakup letter to this girl he kind of dated.

"White Lightning" by Def Leppard is about the death of band member Steve Clark.

"The God That Failed" and "Until It Sleeps", both by Metallica, both (allegedly) about the lead singer's mother dying from cancer after refusing medical treatment and expecting her faith to save her.
