Chevelle's Gear Stolen in Dallas, TX on 5/9

This sucks, like em' or not I sure hope they find their gear. People suck.

CHEVELLE has issued the following update via its MySpace page:

"We regret to inform you that we are unable to perform our scheduled tour dates (until further notice) due to the entire trailer full of pretty much ALL our gear we own getting STOLEN TODAY (May 9) from the Clarion Dallas Park Central hotel at approximately 11:00 a.m.

"If anyone has any information, or sees a light gray KZ Cargo trailer, with an Illinois plate 57002. Please call 911 or your local police authority.

"Most items are labeled 'Chevelle' and if you notice anything suspicious on eBay or other online resellers selling 'authentic' CHEVELLE items... Pete's guitars, Dean's basses, Sam's drums, amplifiers, risers, backdrops, tee shirts... please call the police ... or [send an] email [to]: [email protected].

"Any information would be greatly appreciated... and we hope to see you soon...but it will take some time to get all our items replaced.

"Thank you for your support and understanding. Lets catch these crooked &^*^%!!!"

And I remember when Cheap Trick's Rick Nielsen had his 5-neck guitar stolen. It turned up, though (how could it not, LOL).

Wow. That's crazy.

I've been planning on seeing them on 6/6 at Bogarts in Cincy. Hope they get it worked out by then.

Tour Date Changes
After a crazy day yesterday (5/9/07) with the band losing all their gear, instruments, etc...they will be back in business beginning May 17th in Urbana, IL - moving forward. Tour dates originally scheduled for 5/10 - 5/15 will be rescheduled for later in the year.
