Blade Runner soundtrack/s compilation?

I'm importing stuff into iTunes tonite and I was putting my two BR soundtracks (The New American Orchestra and the Vangelis version) and I had a thought. I realize that both are flawed presentations, but I was wondering if anyone had ever mixed the two, picking the best of each CD to make one decent album?

thanks

I've never heard the New American Orchestra version. How does it compare to the Vangelis version? Sorry I'm not much help with your question.

The NAO version was the first BR soundtrack released, and it wasn't actually the original music from the film. They had another group (The New American Orchestra) do a re-recording of the score and released that.

The Vangelis version is the actual music, but many of the tracks are messed up with vocals from the film overlaid.

I have both for completeness's sake, but even together, they don't present a comprehensive record of the film's music.

And don't say the "B" word!!

I'm more interested in the bootleg versions of the soundtrack that have more of the original score than the official release.

Messed up? I wish more film scores had tracks with dialogue from the film.

Do you have XM? The soundtrack channel occasionallly plays snippets of dialogue between tracks of the scores. That I enjoy. Talking over the tracks is annoying. Would you want the Star Wars soundtracks to have "I don't like sand; it's rough and gets into everything" over Anakin and Padme's love theme?
