Stars of Track and Field

Haven't seen this band mentioned much on here let alone get their own thread.

I liked "Movies of Antartica" when I heard it on Sirius. CD was cheap at Target this weekend while I was there so I decided to pick it up. Good listen - better than I had anticipated actually. I think the CD got better as the tracks went on. I found myself liking some of the tracks better than Antartica.

Not sure who'd I'd compare them to though.

Anyway, if anybody is interested here's their website. http://www.starsoftrackandfield.com/

A band named after a (great) Belle and Sebastian song? Might be worth checking out.

I've really been enjoying the CD for a while now, have tickets to see them and The Broken West open for The Long Winters, pretty excited for that show-

The DJ did indeed say that is the origin of their name.

picked this album up a week ago at Target for a measly $7.99.

It got a good review on a Radar, which was the reason why I purchased it (and the price).
